ବାଲେଶ୍ଵର :ବର୍ଷେ ଧରି କିଡନି ରୋଗରେ ଛଟପଟ ହେବା ସହିତ ଶଯ୍ୟାରେ ପଡିରହିଛନ୍ତି ବାଲେଶ୍ୱର ଜିଲ୍ଲା ରେମୁଣା ବ୍ଲକ ନିଜାମପୁର ପଞ୍ଚାୟତର ସୁନିତା ଜେନା। ଅର୍ଥାଭାବରୁ ମିଳିପାରୁନି ଉପଯୁକ୍ତ ଚିକିତ୍ସା। ତାଙ୍କ ସ୍ୱାମୀ ଦିଲ୍ଲୀପ ଜେନା ହେଉଛନ୍ତି ଜଣେ ଦିନମଜୁରିଆ। କେତେ କାମ ମିଳେ ତ ଆଉ କେବେ ନାହିଁ। ମାସକୁ ୧୦ କିଲୋଗ୍ରାମ ଚାଉଳ ଆଉ ଶ୍ରମିକ ଭାବେ ଯେଉଁ କିଛି ଟଙ୍କା ମିଳୁଛି, ସେଥିରେ ପରିବାର ନିର୍ଭରଶୀଳ। ଏଭଳି ସ୍ଥିତିରେ ସୁନିତାଙ୍କ ଚିକିତ୍ସା କରାଇବା ଦିଲ୍ଲୀପଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଏକପ୍ରକାର ଅସମ୍ଭବ ହୋଇପଡିଛି। ସୁନିତାଙ୍କ ବୟସ ମାତ୍ର ୨୪ ବର୍ଷ। ଯେଉଁ ବୟସରେ ଘରର ସମସ୍ତ ଦାୟିତ୍ୱ ତୁଲାଇ ଏକ ସୁନ୍ଦର ସଂସାର ଗଢିବା କଥା, ସେ ବୟସରେ ପରିବାର ପାଇଁ କିଛି ନ କରି ପାରିବା, ତାଙ୍କୁ ଚିନ୍ତାରେ ପକାଇଛି। ବର୍ଷେ ହେବ କିଡନି ରୋଗରେ ଆକ୍ରାନ୍ତ ହୋଇ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଭାବେ ଶଯ୍ୟାଶାୟୀ ହୋଇ ନିଜ ଭାଗ୍ୟକୁ ନିନ୍ଦୁଛନ୍ତି ସୁନିତା। ରେମୁଣା ବ୍ଲକ ନିଜାମପୁରର ବାରେନ୍ଦ୍ର ଜେନାଙ୍କ ପୁଅ ଦିଲ୍ଲୀପ ୨୦୧୭ ମସିହାରେ ସୁନିତାଙ୍କୁ ବିବାହ କରିଥିଲେ। ବିବାହ ପରେ ତାଙ୍କର ଦୁଇଟି ସନ୍ତାନ ଜନ୍ମଲାଭ କରିଥିଲା। ଝିଅ ୮ ବର୍ଷର ହୋଇଥିବା ବେଳେ ପୁଅ ୧ ବର୍ଷର। ବେଶ୍ ସୁଖରେ ପରିବାର ସହିତ ଦିନ ଅତିବାହିତ ହେଉଥିଲା। ହେଲେ ଗତବର୍ଷଠାରୁ ସବୁ କିଛି ଓଲଟପାଲଟ ହୋଇଯାଇଛି। ଅଳ୍ପମାସର କିଡନି ପରେ କିଡନି ସଂକ୍ରମଣ ହୋଇଥିଲା। ଲାଗି ସୁନିତାଙ୍କୁ ଭୁବନେଶ୍ୱରସ୍ଥିତ ଏକ ଘରୋଇ ହସ୍ପିଟାଲରେ ଭର୍ତ୍ତି କରିଥିଲେ। ସେଠାରେ ଜଣାପଡିଲା କି ସୁନିତାଙ୍କର ଲେଫ୍ଟ କିଡନି ନଷ୍ଟ ହୋଇଯାଇଛି। ସେଠାରେ କିଛିଦିନ ଚିକିତ୍ସା କରିବା ପରେ ଭୁବନେଶ୍ୱର ଏମ୍ସ ହସ୍ପିଟାଲରେ ଚିକିତ୍ସା କରାଇଲେ। ହେଲେ ଅର୍ଥ ଅଭାବରୁ ଦିଲ୍ଲୀପ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଘରକୁ ଫେରାଇ ଆଣିଲେ। ସୁନିତା ଶଯ୍ୟାଶାୟୀ ହେବା ପରେ ପୂରା ପରିବାର ଭାଙ୍ଗି ଏବଂ ଦିଲ୍ଲୀପଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ରୋଷେଇଠାରୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ କରି ପିଲାଙ୍କ ଦେଖାଶୁଣା ଓ ପାଠପଢା; ସବୁ ଦାୟିତ୍ୱ ଏକା ଦିଲ୍ଲୀପ ବୁଝୁଛନ୍ତି। ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ସୁନିତା ଘରେ ରହିଥିବା ବେଳେ ସପ୍ତାହରେ ୨ ଥର ବାଲେଶ୍ୱରସ୍ଥିତ ଏକ ଘରୋଇ ହସ୍ପିଟାଲରେ ଡାଏଲିସିସ୍ କରାଯାଉଛି। ସେଥିରେ ବି ଦିଲ୍ଲୀପଙ୍କ ସମସ୍ତ ଗାଣ୍ଠିଧନ ବେଳେ କୋଲାରା ଠିକ୍ ଭାବେ କରିପାରୁ ନାହାନ୍ତି। ଗୋଟିଏ ପଟେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଙ୍କ ଚିକିତ୍ସା ଓ ଅନ୍ୟପଟେ ଦୁଇ ପିଲାଙ୍କ ଭବିଷ୍ୟତ ଚିନ୍ତା ବି ଅଛି। ମେପଟେ ଏକ ବର୍ଷର ବାଳ ପୁଅ ମା' କ୍ଷୀର ଖାଇଥିବା ବେଳେ ଅସୁସ୍ଥ ମା' ପାଖେ, କ୍ଷୀର ଭୋଗ ନମିଳିବାରୁ ତା'ର ସ୍ୱାସ୍ୟ୍ଥ ଅବସ୍ଥା ମଧ୍ୟ ବିଗୁଡୁଛି। ସୁନିତାଙ୍କ କିଡନି ପ୍ରତ୍ୟାରୋପଣ ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରାୟ ୧୫ରୁ ୨୦ ଲକ୍ଷ ଟଙ୍କା ଆବଶ୍ୟକ ପଡିବ ବୋଲି ହସ୍ପିଟାଲ କର୍ତ୍ତୃପକ୍ଷ କହିଛନ୍ତି। ତେଣୁ ସେ ଭଦ୍ରଖ ଜିଲ୍ଲା ପ୍ରଶାସନ ଓ ରାଜ୍ୟ ସରକାରଙ୍କୁ ସାହାଯ୍ୟ ପାଇଁ ଗୁହାରି କରିଛନ୍ତି।

ଜୁନାଗଡ : ଜୁନାଗଡ ବ୍ଲକ ଅନ୍ତର୍ଗତ କୁରୁଗୁଡ଼ା ଆବାସିକ ଉଚ୍ଚ ମାଧ୍ୟମିକ ବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟ ଜିଲ୍ଲାରେ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦିଗରେ ଏକ ଅଗ୍ରଣୀ ଶିକ୍ଷାନୁଷ୍ଠାନ। ଏହି ବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟ ୧୯୫୦ ମସିହା ରେ ଅନୁସୂଚିତ ଜାତି ଓ ଅନୁସୂଚିତ ଜନଜାତି ଙ୍କ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦିଗରେ ଉନ୍ନତି ପାଇଁ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକାରୀ ହେଉ ଅଛି। ପ୍ରଜ୍ୟାୟକ୍ରମେ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ଷଷ୍ଠ ରୁ ଦ୍ୱାଦଶ ( ବିଜ୍ଞାନ) ଶ୍ରେଣୀ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଶିକ୍ଷା ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ହୋଇ ସାରିଲାଣି। ଅନୁସୂଚିତ ଜାତି ଓ ଜନଜାତି ଛାତ୍ର ଛାତ୍ରୀ ପାଠ ପଢ଼ୁ ଥିବା ସହ ପଛୁଆ ବର୍ଗ ତଥା ସାଧାରଣ ବର୍ଗ ର ଛାତ୍ର ଛାତ୍ରୀ ମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ପାଠ ପଢ଼ୁଛନ୍ତି। ଦ୍ୱାଦଶ ଶ୍ରେଣୀ କେବଳ ବିଜ୍ଞାନ ବିଭାଗ ର ଅଛି। ଦ୍ୱାଦଶ ରେ କଳା ଓ ବାଣିଜ୍ୟ ବିଭାଗ ଖୋଲା ହେଲେ ଅଧିକରୁ ଅଧିକ ଛାତ୍ର ଛାତ୍ରୀ ଉପକୃତ ହେବେ। ଏଠି ପ୍ରତି ରାଜ୍ୟ ସରକାର ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ଦେବାକୁ ସାଧାରଣରେ ଦାବି ହେଉଛି।

Concerns Mount Over the Future of 480 Students; Immediate Intervention Demanded Komna, 03/07 Serious concerns have been raised over the deteriorating academic environment at Jhagrahi Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya in Komna Block of Odisha’s Nuapada district, where a prolonged shortage of teachers and staff has reportedly affected the quality of education. Despite having nearly 480 students enrolled from Classes VI to XII, several key teaching and administrative posts have remained vacant for an extended period, causing growing anxiety among students, parents, and local residents. According to reports, the school has no permanent English teacher, while the posts of Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Hindi, Sanskrit, and Music teachers are also lying vacant. In addition, the positions of Vice Principal and Clerk have not been filled, affecting both academic activities and the smooth functioning of administrative work. As a result, students are reportedly being deprived of quality education. Apart from the shortage of teaching staff, the school also lacks its own playground, preventing students from participating in regular sports and extracurricular activities. Parents have expressed concern that the absence of adequate sports infrastructure is adversely affecting the overall physical and personality development of the students. Meanwhile, a 100-bed boys’ hostel and dining hall constructed on the school campus remain non-operational despite the completion of construction. Consequently, students coming from distant areas are unable to benefit from residential facilities, which has also affected their academic performance and convenience. Parents, local intellectuals, and members of the public have urged the authorities to fill all vacant teaching and non-teaching posts without delay, make the hostel operational, and provide a dedicated playground to ensure the holistic development of students and maintain the quality of education. When contacted, Nuapada District Collector Madhusudan Das assured that the school would be inspected at the earliest. He said that the issues would be thoroughly assessed and appropriate measures would be taken based on the findings.

Khariar, 03/07 Residents of Dahinal Pada, a hamlet under Uppita village in Lanji Gram Panchayat of Khariar Block in Odisha’s Nuapada district, have been facing severe hardship for years due to the lack of basic civic amenities. The acute shortage of safe drinking water and the absence of a proper access road have emerged as the community’s most pressing concerns. Despite repeated appeals to the local administration, no permanent solution has been provided, leading to growing dissatisfaction among the villagers. According to local residents, the main road connecting Dahinal Pada has remained neglected for a long time. During the monsoon season, the route becomes extremely difficult to navigate, while the persistent shortage of drinking water continues to disrupt daily life. Villagers have urged the authorities to intervene immediately and address these long-pending issues. Responding to the matter, Khariar Block Chairperson Pushpanjali Nanda stated that the road leading to Dahinal Pada does not fall under the jurisdiction of the Block Administration or the Revenue Department. Instead, it is entirely under the control of the Forest Department. Owing to legal restrictions governing forest land, the administration is unable to undertake the construction of a permanent paved road. However, she clarified that the existing forest pathway used by residents remains functional and that there are no major obstacles to regular movement. She further assured that the drinking water problem in Dahinal Pada has been taken seriously and that necessary steps will be initiated at the earliest to provide a permanent solution. The villagers, meanwhile, have expressed hope that the administration’s assurance will soon translate into concrete action, bringing long-awaited relief to the community.

Entire village unites in chariot construction through collective voluntary effort Sinapali, July 3 A wave of devotion, faith, and excitement has swept across Ranimunda Bazaar under Ranimunda Gram Panchayat in Sinapali Block of Nuapada district, as the village prepares to script a new chapter in its religious and cultural history. For the first time ever, the sacred Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath will be celebrated in Ranimunda this year, filling the entire region with spiritual fervour and festive enthusiasm. After years of anticipation, the long-cherished dream of the villagers is finally becoming a reality, bringing an atmosphere of celebration to every household. Construction of the ceremonial chariot is progressing at a brisk pace under the guidance of experienced chariot craftsman Nilaji, strictly following traditional rituals and age-old customs. Every wooden beam, wheel, and decorative element reflects the dedication, devotion, and collective hard work of the villagers. Alongside the chariot construction, elaborate preparations are also underway to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the festival. On June 21, the sacred idols of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, Devi Subhadra, and Sudarshan arrived in Ranimunda from Puri. Since then, the village has been witnessing daily worship, devotional singing, and various religious rituals, creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere among the residents. Organisers expect thousands of devotees from nearby villages, including Litisargi, Dahanapali, Alabhatta, Bhoipada, Kekadasar, Dharanimal, Mandiarucha, Maheshwar, and several other surrounding areas, to participate in the Rath Yatra. Until now, devotees from this region primarily travelled to Timanpur to witness the festival. With Ranimunda hosting its own Rath Yatra for the first time, local residents are overjoyed to celebrate the grand festival within their own village. The event aimed to spread awareness about environmental conservation, forest protection, and the importance of building a greener and more sustainable Odisha. JMFC Magistrate Rajesh Kumar Das, who attended the programme as the chief guest, highlighted the vital role of tree plantation in maintaining ecological balance. Addressing the gathering, he said that every citizen should plant at least one tree and take responsibility for its care to ensure a healthier environment for future generations.
