A worthy son of Godal village and the topper of the 1991 batch of Singjhar High School, Jagannath Naik was admired and respected for his academic excellence, perseverance, and simple way of life. From his student days, he displayed exceptional talent and academic brilliance. During his time at Singjhar High School, he earned recognition as the most outstanding student of the 1991 batch. Later, while serving at the Regional Institute of Education (RIE), Bhubaneswar, he set a remarkable example of sincerity, integrity, and commitment in the field of education. According to his colleagues, friends, and former classmates, Jagannath Naik was not only an academically gifted individual but also a humble, compassionate, and socially committed person. His untimely passing has been described by many as an irreparable loss to the Singjhar High School family, the educational community, and the region as a whole. His demise has brought profound sorrow to Godal village and the entire Singjhar area. Several eminent personalities, former students, and social workers have paid heartfelt tributes to him and expressed their condolences to the bereaved family. Komna, June 20 A 32-year-old mason from Dharmapur village under Tarbod Gram Panchayat in Komna Block of Nuapada district has been left bedridden due to a prolonged and unidentified illness, pushing his family into severe financial distress. The family has appealed to the government for urgent medical and financial assistance. According to reports, Jaylal Kharsel (32), the sole earning member of his family, has been suffering from a serious ailment affecting his left leg for the past several years. Despite undergoing treatment at multiple hospitals and spending all available resources, his condition has not improved. Jaylal lives with his wife Jema Kharsel (27) and their two sons, Rajendra (8) and Digambar (5). He earned his livelihood as a mason and supported his family through daily labor work. The health crisis began in November 2021, when a wound developed on the big toe of his left foot. He initially sought treatment at the Tarbod Primary Health Centre and later at the District Headquarters Hospital. As his condition failed to improve, he was admitted to Thomas Hospital, Khariar Road, where doctors amputated the affected toe. Following the surgery, he recovered and resumed work. Due to a lack of employment opportunities in the area, Jaylal later migrated to Tamil Nadu for work as a mason. However, in December 2025, another wound appeared on a different toe of the same foot. The affected toe was amputated at the District Headquarters Hospital on April 3, 2026. Despite the surgeries, the infection reportedly spread further, reaching up to his knee and rendering his left leg almost completely immobile. He subsequently received treatment at Goras Hospital, Nuapada, and later at a private hospital in Mahasamund, Chhattisgarh, but without significant improvement. Today, Jaylal is unable to walk or work, leaving the family without a source of income. His wife is struggling to care for her husband and two young children. The family now survives largely on the 20 kilograms of rice provided through the ration card scheme. Family members stated that they have already mortgaged their land, gold ornaments, and household utensils to bear the mounting medical expenses. With no savings left, even arranging daily meals has become a challenge. Given their poor economic condition, the family has requested the government to provide financial aid, disability pension, and advanced medical treatment so that Jaylal can receive proper healthcare and the family can overcome its current hardship.

ଶ୍ରମିକ ଶ୍ରେଣୀର ସ୍ୱାର୍ଥ ରକ୍ଷା ପାଇଁ ଆନ୍ଦୋଳନକୁ ତୀବ୍ରତର କରିବାକୁ ଟିୟୁସିସି ସର୍ବଭାରତୀୟ ସାଧାରଣ ସମ୍ପାଦକ ଜୀ.ଆର. ଶିବଶଙ୍କର ଙ୍କର ଆହ୍ୱାନ ରିପୋର୍ଟ: ସୁକାନ୍ତ ପ୍ରଧାନ, ଭୁବନେଶ୍ୱର ଭୁବନେଶ୍ୱର: ଦେଶର ଅନ୍ୟତମ କେନ୍ଦ୍ରୀୟ ଶ୍ରମିକ ସଂଗଠନ ଟ୍ରେଡ ୟୁନିୟନ କୋ- ଅଡିନେସନ ସେଣ୍ଟର (ଟି. ୟୁ. ସି. ସି ), ଓଡିଶା ରାଜ୍ୟ କମିଟି ପକ୍ଷରୁ ଏକ ରାଜ୍ୟସ୍ତରୀୟ କନଭେନସନ ଭୁବନେଶ୍ୱର ୟୁନିଟ-୬ ସ୍ଥିତ ନେତାଜୀ ଭବନ ପରିସରରେ ଅନୁଷ୍ଠିତ ହୋଇଯାଇଛି। ଟି.ୟୁ.ସି.ସି ର ରାଜ୍ୟ ସଭାପତି ଜ୍ୟୋତି ରଞ୍ଜନ ମହାପାତ୍ରଙ୍କ ସଭାପତିତ୍ୱରେ ଅନୁଷ୍ଠିତ ଏହି ରାଜ୍ୟ ସ୍ତରୀୟ କନଭେନସନକୁ ଶ୍ରମିକ ଶ୍ରେଣୀର ପ୍ରତିନିଧି ଭାବରେ ନବରଙ୍ଗପୁରର ଶ୍ରମିକ ନେତ୍ରୀ ନିଶା ଭତରା ଅନୁଷ୍ଠାନିକ ଭାବରେ ପ୍ରଦୀପ ପ୍ରଜ୍ଜଳନ କରି ଉଦଘାଟନ କରିଥିଲେ। ଏହି କନଭେନସନର ମୁଖ୍ୟ ଅତିଥି ଭାବରେ ଟି.ୟୁ.ସି.ସି. ର ସର୍ବଭାରତୀୟ ସାଧାରଣ ସମ୍ପାଦକ କମ୍ରେଡ ଜୀ. ଆର. ଶିବଶଙ୍କର ମୁଖ୍ୟ ଅତିଥି ଭାବରେ ଯୋଗଦେଇ ମୋଦି ସରକାର ଅମଳରେ ଶ୍ରମିକ ଶ୍ରେଣୀ ବିଭିନ୍ନ ସମସ୍ୟା ଦେଇ ଗତି କରୁଛି ବୋଲି ଅଭିଯୋଗ କରିଥିଲେ । ଦେଶରେ ପ୍ରଚଳିତ ଶ୍ରମ ଆଇନର ସଂଶୋଧନ କରାଯାଇ ଶ୍ରମ କୋଡ଼ ପ୍ରଚଳନ, ରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରୀୟତ ଉଦ୍ୟେlଗ ଗୁଡିକର ଘରୋଇ କରଣ, ବ୍ୟାପକ ଶ୍ରମିକ ଛଟେଇ, ଠିକା ନିଯୁକ୍ତି, ଆଠ ଘଣ୍ଟିଆ ବଦଳରେ ଦଶ ଘଣ୍ଟିଆ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଦିବସ ପ୍ରଚଳନ ଆଦି ଫଳରେ ଶ୍ରମିକ ଶ୍ରେଣୀର ଦୁର୍ଦଶା ବୁଦ୍ଧି ପାଇବାରେ ଲାଗିଛି। ଏଭଳି ଏକ ଘଡି ସନ୍ଧି ମୁହୁର୍ତରେ ଏକ ଦେଶ ପ୍ରେମୀ, ଜାତୀୟତା ବାଦୀ ଶ୍ରମିକ ସଂଗଠନ ଭାବରେ ଶ୍ରମିକ ଶ୍ରେଣୀର ସଂଗ୍ରାମକୁ ତୀବ୍ରତର କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ଟି.ୟୁ.ସି.ସି. ର ସାଥିମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆହ୍ୱାନ ଦେଇଥିଲେ। ମୁଖ୍ୟ ବକ୍ତା ଭାବରେ ଓଡିଶା ହାଇକୋର୍ଟର ବରିଷ୍ଠ ଆଇନଜୀବୀ ବିଭୁ ପ୍ରସାଦ ତ୍ରିପାଠୀ ଯୋଗ ଦେଇ "ଶ୍ରମକୋର୍ଡ଼ ଓ ଦେଶର ଶ୍ରମଜୀବୀ ମଣିଷ" ଶୀର୍ଷକ ବିଷୟ ବସ୍ତୁ ଉପରେ ବ୍ୟାପକ ଭାବରେ ନିଜର ମତ ରଖିଥିଲେ। କଷ୍ଟଲବ୍ଧ ସଂଗ୍ରାମ ଫଳରେ ଶ୍ରମିକ ଶ୍ରେଣୀ ହାସଲ କରିଥିବା ଅଧିକାର ଆଜି ଶ୍ରମକୋର୍ଡ଼ ପ୍ରଚଳନ ସହିତ ଦେଶରେ ଭୁଲଣ୍ଠିତ ହୋଇଛି ବୋଲି ଅଭିଯୋଗ ବଢିଥିଲେ। ସମ୍ମାନିତ ଅତିଥି ଭାବରେ ବଶିଷ୍ଟ ସ୍ତମ୍ଭକାର ତୁଷାରକାନ୍ତ ଶତପଥୀ, ବରିଷ୍ଟ ସାମ୍ବାଦିକ ସୁରେନ୍ଦ୍ର ପାତ୍ର, ସମଦୃଷ୍ଟି ର ସମ୍ପାଦକ ବିଘ୍ନେଶ୍ୱର ସାହୁ, ଫରୱାର୍ଡ଼ ବ୍ଲକର ରାଜ୍ୟ ସଭାପତି ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଚନ୍ଦ୍ର ପାଢ଼ୀ ପ୍ରମୁଖ କେନ୍ଦ୍ର ଓ ରାଜ୍ୟ ସରକାରଙ୍କ ଶ୍ରମିକ ବିରୋଧୀ ନୀତିକୁ ଦୃଢ଼ ଭାବରେ ବିରୋଧ କରିବା ସହ ଏହା ବିରୋଧରେ ଐକବୋଧ ଶ୍ରମିକ ଆନ୍ଦୋଳନ ଗଢି ତୋଳିବାକୁ ଆହ୍ୱାନ କରିଥିଲେ। ଏହି କନଭେନସନ ଅବସରରେ ନୀଳାଚଳ ଇସ୍ପାତ ନିଗମ ଶ୍ରମିକ ସଂଘ , କଳିଙ୍ଗ ନଗର ଶ୍ରମିକ ସଂଘ ସମେତ ଅନ୍ୟାନ୍ୟ ଶ୍ରମିକ ସଂଗଠନର ନେତା ସବଶ୍ରୀ ପ୍ରତାପ ଜେନା, ବାବୁଲି ପୂର୍ତ୍ତି, ଯୁବ ଶ୍ରମିକ ନେତା ପ୍ରସନ୍ନଜିତ ନାୟକ ପ୍ରମୁଖଙ୍କ ନେତୃତ୍ୱରେ ଶତାଧିକ ଶ୍ରମିକ ନେତା ଟି.ୟୁ.ସି.ସି. ରେ ଯୋଗ ଦେଇଥିଲେ l ଟିୟୁସିସି ର ସର୍ବଭାରତୀୟ ସାଧାରଣ ସମ୍ପାଦକ କମ୍ରେଡ ଜୀ. ଆର. ଶିବଶଙ୍କର ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତରୀୟ ଓ ବୃକ୍ଷ ପ୍ରଦାନ ପୂର୍ବକ ସଂଗଠନରେ ସାମିଲ କରିଥିଲେ। ଏହି କନଭେନସନ ଅବସରରେ ଟି.ୟୁ.ସି.ସି. ର ନୂତନ ୨୩ ଜଣିଆ ରାଜ୍ୟ କମିଟି ଗଠନ କରାଯାଇଥିଲା। ଏହି ନୂତନ କମିଟିର ରାଜ୍ୟ ସଭାପତି ରୂପେ ଜ୍ୟୋତି ରଞ୍ଜନ ମହାପାତ୍ର, ସାଧାରଣ ସମ୍ପାଦକ ରୂପେ ପ୍ରତାପ ଜେନା, ଏବଂ କୋଷାଧକ୍ଷ ରୂପେ ଲଷ୍ମୀ ଦୋରା ସର୍ବସମ୍ମତି କ୍ରମେ ନିର୍ବାଚିତ ହୋଇଥିଲେ। ଅନ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଶ୍ରମିକ ନେତା ନିରଞ୍ଜନ ଭୋଇ, ସନ୍ତୋଷ ସାହୁ, ଧନ ଗିଉରିଆ, ଅନ୍ତର୍ଯ୍ୟାମୀ ସାହୁ, ବିଶ୍ୱଜିତ ପଣ୍ଡା, ରାଜୁ ନାୟକ, ଦୁର୍ଯ୍ୟୋଧନ ପୂଜାରୀ, ବିଜୟ ସାହୁ, ରଜନୀଗନ୍ଧା ବାରିକ , ରିଙ୍କି ସାହୁ ପ୍ରମୁଖ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ ପରିଚାଳନାରେ ସହଯୋଗ କରିଥିଲେ।
