ବନ୍ତ ବ୍ଲକ୍ ଆଗରପଡ଼ା ପଚିଶି ଦିନ ଧରି ଜାରୀ ରହିଥିବା ଯୋଗ ପ୍ରଶିକ୍ଷଣ ଶିବିରର ସମାପନ ହୋଇଯାଇଛି । ଏହି ଶିବିରଟି ଜୁନ୍ ପନ୍ଦର ତାରିକ୍ ରେ ଆରମ୍ଭ ହୋଇ ଜୁଲାଇ ନଅ ତାରିକ୍ ପର୍ୟ୍ୟନ୍ତ ନିରନ୍ତର ଭାବେ ଜାରି ରହିଥିଲା। ଭଦ୍ରକ ଜିଲ୍ଲା ଭାରତ ସ୍ଵାଭିମାନ ସଂଯୋଜକ ଧରଣୀଧର କରଙ୍କ ସଂଯୋଜନାରେ ନାରେ ଭଦ୍ରକ ଜିଲ୍ଲାର ବନ୍ତ ବ୍ଲକ୍ ଅନ୍ତର୍ଗତ ଆଗର ପଡ଼ା ସରସ୍ବତୀ ଶିଶୁ ବିଦ୍ୟାମନ୍ଦିର ପରିସରରେ ପତଞ୍ଜଳି ଯୋଗ ସମିତି ତରଫରୁ ଯୋଗ ଶିକ୍ଷକ ପ୍ରଶିକ୍ଷଣ ଶିବିର ଆୟୋଜନ କରାଯାଇଥିଲା ଆଗାମୀ ଦିନରେ ଗାଁ ଗାଁ ରେ ଯୋଗ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେବା ସହିତ ସଂସ୍କାର ବାନ୍ ଭାରତ୍ ଓ ବିଶ୍ୱଗୁରୁ ଭାରତ୍ ନିର୍ମାଣ ପତଞ୍ଜଳି ଯୋଗ ପୀଠର ସଂସ୍ଥାପକ ସ୍ୱାମୀ ରାମଦେବଜିଙ୍କର ଲକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ରହିଛି ସେଥି ପାଇଁ ଦେଶର ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଜିଲ୍ଲା ଓ ବ୍ଲକ୍ ମାନଙ୍କରେ ଏହି ପ୍ରଶିକ୍ଷଣ ଶିବିର ଆୟୋଜନ କରା ଯାଉଛି। ଡାକ୍ତର ଖାନା ମନଙ୍କରେ ଯୋଗ ଶିକ୍ଷକ ନିଯୁକ୍ତି ଓ ଆଗାମୀ ଦିନରେ ବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟ ଓ ମହା ବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟ ସ୍ତରରେ ଯୋଗ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେବା ପାଇଁ ଲକ୍ଷ ରଖି ଥିବା ବେଳେ ଏହି ତାଲିମ୍ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ଶିକ୍ଷକ ମାନେ ସେହି କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କରିବାକୁ ସମର୍ଥ ହେବେ । ଆଗର ପଡ଼ା ଠାରେ ଅନୁଷ୍ଠିତ ଶିବିରକୁ ଥାନା କଅଧିକାରି ରାଜେଶ୍ କୁମାର୍ ସେଠୀ ଉଦ୍ଘାଟନ କରିଥିଲେ । ସମାପନ ଦିବସରେ ଅତିଥି ଭାବେ ରାଜ୍ୟ ପତଞ୍ଜଳି ଯୋଗ ସମିତିର କିଷାନ୍ ପ୍ରଭାରୀ ସ୍ୱୟଂ ପ୍ରକାଶ ଦ୍ୟୁତକ ରଞ୍ଜନ ମହାପାତ୍ର ବରିଷ୍ଠ ନାଗରିକ ସଂଘର ସଭାପତି କୈଳାସ ଧଳ, ବରିଷ୍ଟ ସାମ୍ବାଦିକ ହେମନ୍ତ ସିଂହ , ସାମ୍ବାଦିକ ସୁଶାନ୍ତ ଦାସ, ସ୍ୱୟଂ ସେବକ ରାଜୀବ ଲୋଚନ ରାୟ, ଅଶୋକ କୁମାର ପରିଡ଼ା ପ୍ରମୁଖ ଉଜ୍ଜାପନରେ ଅତିଥୀ ଭାବେ ମଞ୍ଚାସିନ ଥିଲେ। ପଚିଶି ଦିନ ଧରି ଜାରୀ ରହିଥିବା ପ୍ରଶିକ୍ଷଣ ଶିବିରରେ ଜିଲ୍ଲା ଭାରତ ସ୍ଵାଭିମାନ ସଂଯୋଜକ ତଥା ଯୋଗ ଗୁରୂ ଧରଣୀଧର କର , ରାଜ୍ଯ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟାଳୟ ପ୍ରଭାରୀ ସୂର୍ଯ୍ୟକାନ୍ତ ମାହାନ୍ତି , ଜିଲ୍ଲା ମହିଳା ପ୍ରଭାରୀ ଅର୍ପିତା ମାହାନ୍ତି, ସହ ମହିଳା ପ୍ରଭାରୀ ସସ୍ମିତା ଦାସ, ଯୋଗ ପ୍ରଚାରକ ସଞ୍ଜୟ ନାୟକ, ଜିଲ୍ଲା କିଷାନ୍ ପ୍ରଭାରୀ ସଞ୍ଜୀବ ନାୟକ, ତହସିଲ ପ୍ରଭାରି, କାଳନ୍ଦୀ ପାତ୍ର, ପର୍ଶୁରାମ ପୁହାଣ, ମଳୟ ରାଉଳ, ଆରତୀ ପାଣଗ୍ରାହୀ, ଆଶାରାଣୀ ମୁଦୁଲି, ବରିଷ୍ଟ ଯୋଗ ଶିକ୍ଷକ ବୃନ୍ଦାବନ ବେହେରା , ସଞ୍ଜୟ ପାଣିଗ୍ରାହୀ, ସଞ୍ଜୟ ନାୟକ ପ୍ରମୁଖ ଯୋଗ ଶିକ୍ଷା ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିଥିଲେ ଶିକ୍ଷାର୍ଥୀ ମାନେ ପଚୋସ୍ତରୀ ଘଣ୍ଟା ପ୍ରତ୍ୟକ୍ଷ ଏବଂ ପଚିଶି ଘଣ୍ଟା ଅନ୍ ଲାଇନ୍ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିଥିଲେ ରାଜ୍ଯ ଭାରତ ସ୍ଵାଭିମାନ ସଂଯୋଜକ ସୁଧାଂଶୁ ଶେଖର ଅଧିକାରୀ, ସହ ପ୍ରଭାରୀ ଅକ୍ରୁର ମାର୍ଥା, ରାଜ୍ଯ ଯୋଗ ସମିତି ପ୍ରଭାରୀ ରାଧା ମାଧବ ବୈଧର , ଯୁବ ପ୍ରଭାରୀ ଅମୃତାଂଶୁ ପ୍ରଧାନ ପ୍ରମୁଖ ଅନ୍ ଲାଇନ୍ କ୍ଲାସ୍ ରେ ଯୋଗ ଦର୍ଶନ, ଶରୀର ବିଜ୍ଞାନ, ଆୟୁରବେଦ, ସ୍ୱଦେଶୀ , ଗୀତ ଜ୍ଞାନ ଓ ଜୀବନ ଦର୍ଶନ ବିଷୟର ଶିକ୍ଷା ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିଥିଲେ । ଉକ୍ତ ଶିବିରକୁ ଜିଲ୍ଲା ସାମାଜିକ ଗଣ ମାଧ୍ୟମ ପ୍ରଭାରି ଶ୍ରୀବତ୍ସ କର, ଗଦାଧର ଦାସ,ପ୍ରଭାସ ରାଉତ୍, ଚନ୍ଦ୍ର ଶେଖର କର, ପ୍ରଜ୍ଞାବାନ୍ କୁଣ୍ଡୁ ପ୍ରମୁଖ ପରିଚାଳନାରେ ସହଯୋଗ କରିଥିଲେ।

ଭଦ୍ରକ ଜିଲ୍ଲା ଧାମନଗର ବ୍ଲକ ଅନ୍ତର୍ଗତ ଭଗବାନପୁର ପଞ୍ଚାୟତର ଇଛଦା ଗ୍ରାମର ରାକେଶ ପାତ୍ରଙ୍କ ଗୋରୁ ଗୁହାଳରେ କୌଣସି କାରଣରୁ ଅଚାନକ ନିଆଁ ଲାଗିଯାଇଥିଲା। ଦେଖୁ ଦେଖୁ ନିଆଁ ସମଗ୍ର ଗୁହାଳକୁ ବ୍ୟାପିଯିବାରୁ ଗୁହାଳଟି ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଜଳି ପାଉଁଶ ହୋଇଯାଇଛି। ଘଟଣା ସମୟରେ ଗୁହାଳ ଭିତରେ ଦୁଇଟି ଗାଈ ଓ ଗୋଟିଏ ବାଛୁରୀ ଥିଲେ। ଭାଗ୍ୟବଶତଃ ଦୁଇଟି ଗାଈ ପଘା ଛିଣ୍ଡାଇ ବାହାରକୁ ପଳାଇ ଯିବାରୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଜୀବନ ରକ୍ଷା ପାଇଥିଲା। କିନ୍ତୁ ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଦୁଃଖଦ ବିଷୟ, ବାଛୁରୀଟି ନିଆଁରେ ପୋଡ଼ି ମୃତ୍ୟୁବରଣ କରିଥିଲା। ଖବର ପାଇ ଅଗ୍ନିଶମ ବାହିନୀ ଘଟଣାସ୍ଥଳରେ ପହଞ୍ଚି ନିଆଁକୁ ଆୟତ୍ତ କରିଥିଲେ। ତେବେ ଏହି ଅଗ୍ନିକାଣ୍ଡରେ ରାକେଶ ପାତ୍ରଙ୍କର ବ୍ୟାପକ କ୍ଷତି ହୋଇଥିବା ଜଣାପଡ଼ିଛି। ସ୍ଥାନୀୟ ଲୋକେ ପ୍ରଶାସନଙ୍କୁ ଘଟଣାର ତଦନ୍ତ କରି କ୍ଷତିଗ୍ରସ୍ତ ପରିବାରକୁ ଯଥାଶୀଘ୍ର ସରକାରୀ ସହାୟତା ଓ କ୍ଷତିପୂରଣ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିବାକୁ ଦାବି କରିଛନ୍ତି।

ତାଳଚେର: ତାଳଚେର ବ୍ଲକ କୋଲିୟରୀ ଥାନା ଅନ୍ତର୍ଗତ ଦେଉଳବେଡ଼ା ଡାକଘରରେ ବିଳମ୍ବିତ ରାତିରେ ଦୁର୍ବୃତ୍ତମାନେ ଚୋରି କରିଥିବା ଘଟଣା ସ୍ଥାନୀୟ ଅଞ୍ଚଳରେ ଚହଳ ସୃଷ୍ଟି କରିଛି। ସୂଚନା ଅନୁସାରେ, ଦୁର୍ବୃତ୍ତମାନେ ଡାକଘରର ଫାଟକ ଡେଇଁ ଭିତରକୁ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରି କବାଟ ଭାଙ୍ଗି ଏକ କାଠ ବାକ୍ସ, କମ୍ପ୍ୟୁଟର ଆକ୍ସେସରିଜ୍, ଇନଭର୍ଟର ସମେତ ବିଭିନ୍ନ ସାମଗ୍ରୀ ଲୁଟି ନେଇଥିଲେ। ଚୋରି ହୋଇଥିବା ସାମଗ୍ରୀର ଆନୁମାନିକ ମୂଲ୍ୟ ପ୍ରାୟ ୫୦ ହଜାର ଟଙ୍କା ହେବ ବୋଲି ଜଣାପଡ଼ିଛି। ଡାକଘର କର୍ମଚାରୀମାନେ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟାଳୟରେ ପହଞ୍ଚି କବାଟ ଭଙ୍ଗା ଓ ସାମଗ୍ରୀ ଲୁଟ୍ ହୋଇଥିବା ଦେଖି କୋଲିୟରୀ ପୋଲିସକୁ ଖବର ଦେଇଥିଲେ। ଲିଖିତ ଅଭିଯୋଗ ପାଇବା ପରେ କୋଲିୟରୀ ପୋଲିସ ଘଟଣାସ୍ଥଳରେ ପହଞ୍ଚି ତଦନ୍ତ ଆରମ୍ଭ କରିଛି। ଚୋରମାନଙ୍କୁ ଚିହ୍ନଟ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ପୋଲିସ ବିଭିନ୍ନ ଦିଗରୁ ତଦନ୍ତ ଜାରି ରଖିଛି।

ଅନୁଗୋଳ: ଅନୁଗୋଳ ଆରକ୍ଷୀ ଅଧିକ୍ଷକଙ୍କ ତତ୍ତ୍ୱାବଧାନରେ ଜିଲ୍ଲାର ଆଇନଶୃଙ୍ଖଳା ଓ ଅପରାଧ ନିୟନ୍ତ୍ରଣକୁ ନେଇ ଏକ ସମୀକ୍ଷା ବୈଠକ ଅନୁଷ୍ଠିତ ହୋଇଥିଲା। ବୈଠକରେ ଅପରାଧ ଧାରା, ତଦନ୍ତର ଗୁଣବତ୍ତା, ବିଚାରାଧୀନ ମାମଲାର ଅଗ୍ରଗତି, ଦଣ୍ଡବିଧାନର ସ୍ଥିତି ସହ ମହିଳା ଓ ଶିଶୁ ବିରୋଧୀ ଅପରାଧ ଉପରେ ବିସ୍ତୃତ ସମୀକ୍ଷା କରାଯାଇଥିଲା। ଏହି ବୈଠକରେ ଅତିରିକ୍ତ ଏସ୍‌ପି, ଏସ୍‌ଡିପିଓ, ଆଇଆଇସି, ଓଆଇସି ଓ ଅନ୍ୟ ବରିଷ୍ଠ ପୋଲିସ ଅଧିକାରୀମାନେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ଥିଲେ। ଜିଲ୍ଲାରେ ଆଇନ ପ୍ରବର୍ତ୍ତନକୁ ଅଧିକ ସୁଦୃଢ଼ କରିବା, ଉତ୍ତରଦାୟିତ୍ୱ ବଜାୟ ରଖିବା ଏବଂ ଜନସାଧାରଣଙ୍କୁ ଅଧିକ ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟାଶୀଳ ଓ ନାଗରିକ-ଅନୁକୂଳ ପୋଲିସ ସେବା ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଏସ୍‌ପି ସମସ୍ତ ଅଧିକାରୀଙ୍କୁ ଆବଶ୍ୟକ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶ ଦେଇଥିଲେ।

Khariar, July 9: A potentially life-threatening situation has emerged in Muktapur under Khariar Block of Nuapada district, where dangerously low-hanging electricity wires have raised serious safety concerns among local residents. Parents and residents have expressed growing anxiety, questioning who would be held responsible if an accident or electrocution were to occur. Demanding immediate intervention, locals have urged the Electricity Department to inspect the site without delay, raise the sagging power lines to a safe height, and carry out all necessary repair work at the earliest. They stressed that preventive action should be taken before a tragedy occurs, rather than responding only after lives are lost.

Sinapali, July 9: The Biju Expressway, which connects Bhatipada in Nuapada district to Koraput via Sinapali, has turned into a major safety hazard for commuters. Large potholes, damaged asphalt, and deteriorating road surfaces have made the highway increasingly dangerous, with locals alleging that accidents have become a frequent occurrence, especially during the monsoon. The worst-affected stretch lies between Bhatipada and Thongo, covering nearly 15 kilometres, where one side of the road has been severely damaged. The asphalt and stone chips have worn away, leaving deep potholes that become submerged in rainwater. As a result, motorists are often unable to judge the depth of the potholes, leading to loss of vehicle control and road accidents. A similar situation exists near the Kendumunda Bridge in front of Bhela village under Komna block, where the road surface has also deteriorated significantly. Waterlogging during rainfall further increases the risk for both light and heavy vehicles, causing inconvenience and posing a serious threat to road users. The Biju Expressway is a vital transport corridor linking Nuapada district with Chhattisgarh and several parts of Odisha. Hundreds of trucks, buses, cars, and two-wheelers use the route every day. However, the poor condition of the road has left commuters feeling unsafe. Local residents claim that minor and major accidents occur almost daily, with some resulting in loss of life. Residents have alleged that despite crores of rupees being spent on the construction of this important highway, poor-quality work and inadequate maintenance have led to its rapid deterioration. They have demanded a thorough inquiry into the matter and strict action against those found responsible. The public has urged the administration and the concerned department to undertake immediate reconstruction and repair of the damaged stretch between Bhatipada and Sinapali to ensure safe travel. Nuapada, 09/07 A tragic road accident on National Highway-353 near the Kurumpuri Goat Market under Lakhna Police Station in Nuapada district claimed the life of a motorcyclist on Saturday, casting a pall of gloom over the locality. According to reports, a Swift Dzire car travelling towards Nuapada collided head-on with a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction. The impact of the collision was so severe that the motorcyclist died on the spot. The deceased has been identified as Bisham Majhi, a resident of Samarsing village. In accordance with IT Rules and respecting the dignity and privacy of the deceased, his photograph has not been published. Following the accident, the driver of the car and the other occupants reportedly fled the scene before police arrived. On receiving information, Lakhna Police rushed to the accident site, recovered the body, and sent it to the District Headquarters Hospital, Nuapada, for post-mortem examination. After the completion of the legal formalities, the body was handed over to the bereaved family. Police have seized both the accident-involved car and motorcycle and registered a case. An investigation is underway to ascertain the exact cause of the accident and to trace the absconding car driver.

Nuapada, July 9: In a major crackdown on interstate drug trafficking, police have seized 102 kilograms of ganja and arrested two interstate smugglers during a special operation along the Odisha–Chhattisgarh border. According to official sources, Mainpur Police in Chhattisgarh’s Gariaband district received credible intelligence that a luxury white car carrying a large quantity of ganja was being smuggled from Odisha to Madhya Pradesh. Acting on the information, police, under the direction of the Additional Superintendent of Police, Gariaband, set up a strict checkpoint and intensified vehicle inspections at Jhariabahara near the interstate border. During the operation, the suspected vehicle was intercepted and thoroughly searched. Police recovered approximately 102 kg of ganja, which had been cleverly concealed inside the boot and beneath the seats of the car. The contraband was immediately seized. The arrested accused have been identified as Aryan Malviya and Abhishek Mehaskar, both residents of Madhya Pradesh. The luxury car used for transporting the contraband has also been confiscated. Preliminary investigation suggests that the accused are part of an interstate narcotics trafficking network. Police are investigating the source of the ganja, its intended destination, and the possible involvement of other members of the smuggling racket. The successful operation has been widely appreciated in the border region as a significant step in curbing illegal drug trafficking. Police officials stated that strict action against narcotics smuggling and interstate trafficking will continue in the coming days.

Nuapada, July 9: A district-level review and planning meeting on various schemes being implemented under Mission Shakti and the Odisha Livelihoods Mission (OLM) was held on Thursday at the district headquarters conference hall under the chairmanship of Nuapada Collector Madhusudan Dash. The meeting reviewed block-wise progress of different Mission Shakti and OLM programmes across the district. Out of 9,271 active Self-Help Groups (SHGs), profiles of 9,053 SHGs (98%) have been updated, while among 982 active Cluster Level Federations (CLFs), profiles of 970 CLFs (99%) have been updated. The Collector directed officials to complete the remaining updates and achieve 100 percent coverage at the earliest. Under the Lakhpati Didi programme, the district has achieved significant success, with 36,956 women identified as Lakhpati Didis against a target of 37,536, achieving 98 percent progress. For the Maha Lakhpati Didi initiative, 118 women have been identified against a target of 100. The Collector stressed the need to transform more women into Lakhpati Didis during the current year to strengthen their economic self-reliance. In the area of bank linkage, 1,368 loan applications have been forwarded to banks during the current financial year, and 1,037 SHGs have received loans amounting to approximately Rs 52.17 crore. The Collector instructed officials to enhance coordination with banks for speedy disposal of pending applications. To reduce migration and strengthen local livelihoods, the district provided financial assistance of Rs 73.60 lakh to 330 migrant families during the month of June, the review revealed. The meeting further noted that out of 51 Mission Shakti Retail Marts, construction work has been completed for 47 marts, while 10 out of 35 GPLF buildings have been completed. The Collector directed officials to complete the remaining projects within the stipulated timeline. On the occasion, Thandhabai Sahu of Kuliabandha village was felicitated for becoming a successful example of self-reliance. Earlier a migrant labourer, she has established a sustainable livelihood in her village with the support of Mission Shakti and OLM. Similarly, Sunita Sahu of Amsena village, a successful Lakhpati Didi, was also honoured. The meeting was attended by Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Lambodar Dharua, District Project Coordinator Sunil Kumar Mallick, Lead Bank Manager Harishankar Nial, all Block Project Coordinators, and officials from various departments.

Boden, July 9: In a significant step towards strengthening the fight against tuberculosis (TB) and supporting the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of a “TB-Free India,” a special nutritional support programme was organised on Thursday at the Community Health Centre (CHC), Boden, in Nuapada district. Under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) and with the support of R.K. HIV AIDS Research and Care Centre, nutritional kits were distributed to 50 out of 90 registered TB patients in Boden Block during the first phase of the programme. The programme was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Sanjeeb Nayak, Medical Officer In-Charge (MOIC), CHC Boden, and Mahesh Jena, Senior Treatment Supervisor (STS). During the event, TB patients were also sensitised about the importance of a balanced diet, regular medication, and timely treatment for faster recovery. The initiative is being implemented under the guidance of Nuapada Collector Madhusudan Dash, IAS, and Dr. Dharmendra Kumar, President of R.K. HIV AIDS Research and Care Centre. Over the past nine months, the project has been providing monthly nutritional kits to more than 800 TB patients across Nuapada district, along with support for three family members of each beneficiary, ensuring improved nutrition and better health outcomes. The organisers stated that proper nutrition is as essential as medication in the treatment of tuberculosis. The programme aims not only to improve the health of TB patients but also to provide nutritional assistance to their families, thereby contributing to the national goal of eliminating TB from India. Among those present were Yogita Borkar, Project Head; Ani Bhushan Ray, Project Controller; and Satyajit Das, Project Manager, along with health department officials and staff members. On the occasion, Collector Madhusudan Dash appreciated the initiative and said that coordinated efforts between the government, corporate organisations, and civil society are vital for achieving the national objective of a TB-Free India.
