ବିଂଝାରପୁର, ଯାଜପୁର: ଲଗାଣ ବର୍ଷା ଓ ବନ୍ୟା ପ୍ରଭାବରେ ଯାଜପୁର ଜିଲ୍ଲା ବିଂଝାରପୁର ବ୍ଲକ ଅନ୍ତର୍ଗତ ନାଉବାଙ୍କ–ହଳଦିଡିହକୁ ସଂଯୋଗ କରୁଥିବା ମୁଖ୍ୟ ରାସ୍ତାରେ ପ୍ରାୟ ୮୦ ଫୁଟର ବିରାଟ ଘାଇ ସୃଷ୍ଟି ହୋଇ ଯୋଗାଯୋଗ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ବିଚ୍ଛିନ୍ନ ହୋଇପଡ଼ିଛି। ଏହି ଘଟଣା ପରେ ଯାଜପୁର ସାଂସଦ ରବୀନ୍ଦ୍ର ନାରାୟଣ ବେହେରା ପ୍ରଭାବିତ ଅଞ୍ଚଳକୁ ପହଞ୍ଚି ଘାଇର ସ୍ଥିତି ସମୀକ୍ଷା କରିଥିଲେ। ପରିଦର୍ଶନ ସମୟରେ ସାଂସଦ ସ୍ଥାନୀୟ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ସହ ଆଲୋଚନା କରି ବନ୍ୟାରେ ହୋଇଥିବା କ୍ଷୟକ୍ଷତିର ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ତଦନ୍ତ କରାଯିବା ସହ ପ୍ରଭାବିତ ପରିବାରଙ୍କୁ ସରକାରୀ ସହାୟତା ଯୋଗାଇବା ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରୟାସ କରାଯିବ ବୋଲି ଆଶ୍ୱାସନା ଦେଇଥିଲେ। ଏହି ଅବସରରେ ସ୍ଥାନୀୟ ଜନପ୍ରତିନିଧି, ସମାଜସେବୀ ଏବଂ ବିଶିଷ୍ଟ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିମାନେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ରହି ଅଞ୍ଚଳର ବାସ୍ତବ ସ୍ଥିତି ଓ କ୍ଷୟକ୍ଷତି ସମ୍ପର୍କିତ ତଥ୍ୟ ସାଂସଦଙ୍କୁ ଅବଗତ କରାଇଥିଲେ। ତେବେ ପରିଦର୍ଶନ ସମୟରେ କେତେକ ରାଜନୈତିକ ମତାମତ ଓ ଦୋଷାରୋପର ସ୍ୱର ମଧ୍ୟ ଶୁଣିବାକୁ ମିଳିଥିଲା। ସ୍ଥାନୀୟ ବୁଦ୍ଧିଜୀବୀମାନଙ୍କ ମତରେ, ବିପର୍ଯ୍ୟୟ ସମୟରେ ରାଜନୀତିକୁ ପଛରେ ରଖି ସମସ୍ତ ଦଳ ଓ ସଂଗଠନ ଏକାଠି ହୋଇ ବନ୍ୟା ବିପନ୍ନଙ୍କ ସହାୟତାରେ ଆଗେଇ ଆସିବା ଉଚିତ। ବନ୍ୟାରେ ଅନେକ ଚାଷୀଙ୍କ ଫସଲ ଓ ସମ୍ପତ୍ତି ନଷ୍ଟ ହୋଇଥିବାରୁ ସେମାନେ ଗଭୀର ଦୁର୍ଦ୍ଦଶାରେ ଦିନ କାଟୁଛନ୍ତି। କ୍ଷତିଗ୍ରସ୍ତ ଚାଷୀଙ୍କ ଦୁଃଖଦ ପରିସ୍ଥିତି ସମଗ୍ର ଅଞ୍ଚଳରେ ଚିନ୍ତାର ବିଷୟ ପାଲଟିଛି।

ବିଂଝାରପୁର, ଯାଜପୁର: ଲଗାଣ ବର୍ଷା ଓ ବନ୍ୟା ପ୍ରଭାବରେ ଯାଜପୁର ଜିଲ୍ଲା ବିଂଝାରପୁର ବ୍ଲକ ଅନ୍ତର୍ଗତ ନାଉବାଙ୍କ–ହଳଦିଡିହକୁ ସଂଯୋଗ କରୁଥିବା ମୁଖ୍ୟ ରାସ୍ତାରେ ପ୍ରାୟ ୮୦ ଫୁଟର ବିରାଟ ଘାଇ ସୃଷ୍ଟି ହୋଇ ଯୋଗାଯୋଗ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ବିଚ୍ଛିନ୍ନ ହୋଇପଡ଼ିଛି। ଏହି ଘଟଣା ପରେ ଯାଜପୁର ସାଂସଦ ରବୀନ୍ଦ୍ର ନାରାୟଣ ବେହେରା ପ୍ରଭାବିତ ଅଞ୍ଚଳକୁ ପହଞ୍ଚି ଘାଇର ସ୍ଥିତି ସମୀକ୍ଷା କରିଥିଲେ। ପରିଦର୍ଶନ ସମୟରେ ସାଂସଦ ସ୍ଥାନୀୟ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ସହ ଆଲୋଚନା କରି ବନ୍ୟାରେ ହୋଇଥିବା କ୍ଷୟକ୍ଷତିର ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ତଦନ୍ତ କରାଯିବା ସହ ପ୍ରଭାବିତ ପରିବାରଙ୍କୁ ସରକାରୀ ସହାୟତା ଯୋଗାଇବା ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରୟାସ କରାଯିବ ବୋଲି ଆଶ୍ୱାସନା ଦେଇଥିଲେ। ଏହି ଅବସରରେ ସ୍ଥାନୀୟ ଜନପ୍ରତିନିଧି, ସମାଜସେବୀ ଏବଂ ବିଶିଷ୍ଟ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିମାନେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ରହି ଅଞ୍ଚଳର ବାସ୍ତବ ସ୍ଥିତି ଓ କ୍ଷୟକ୍ଷତି ସମ୍ପର୍କିତ ତଥ୍ୟ ସାଂସଦଙ୍କୁ ଅବଗତ କରାଇଥିଲେ। ତେବେ ପରିଦର୍ଶନ ସମୟରେ କେତେକ ରାଜନୈତିକ ମତାମତ ଓ ଦୋଷାରୋପର ସ୍ୱର ମଧ୍ୟ ଶୁଣିବାକୁ ମିଳିଥିଲା। ସ୍ଥାନୀୟ ବୁଦ୍ଧିଜୀବୀମାନଙ୍କ ମତରେ, ବିପର୍ଯ୍ୟୟ ସମୟରେ ରାଜନୀତିକୁ ପଛରେ ରଖି ସମସ୍ତ ଦଳ ଓ ସଂଗଠନ ଏକାଠି ହୋଇ ବନ୍ୟା ବିପନ୍ନଙ୍କ ସହାୟତାରେ ଆଗେଇ ଆସିବା ଉଚିତ। ବନ୍ୟାରେ ଅନେକ ଚାଷୀଙ୍କ ଫସଲ ଓ ସମ୍ପତ୍ତି ନଷ୍ଟ ହୋଇଥିବାରୁ ସେମାନେ ଗଭୀର ଦୁର୍ଦ୍ଦଶାରେ ଦିନ କାଟୁଛନ୍ତି। କ୍ଷତିଗ୍ରସ୍ତ ଚାଷୀଙ୍କ ଦୁଃଖଦ ପରିସ୍ଥିତି ସମଗ୍ର ଅଞ୍ଚଳରେ ଚିନ୍ତାର ବିଷୟ ପାଲଟିଛି।

ଖୋର୍ଦ୍ଧା, ଅଗଷ୍ଟ ୧: ଖୋର୍ଦ୍ଧା ପୌରପାଳିକାର ୱାର୍ଡ ନଂ-୧୮ର ବିଭିନ୍ନ ଉନ୍ନୟନମୂଳକ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ପାଇଁ ପାଣ୍ଠି ଅନୁମୋଦନ ଏବଂ ଟେଣ୍ଡର ପ୍ରକ୍ରିୟା ଆରମ୍ଭରେ ଦୀର୍ଘ ଦିନ ର ବିଳମ୍ବକୁ ନେଇ ଶେଷରେ ଓଡ଼ିଶା ହାଇକୋର୍ଟଙ୍କୁ ହସ୍ତକ୍ଷେପ କରିବାକୁ ପଡ଼ିଛି। ଜିଲ୍ଲାପାଳ ତଥା ଜିଲ୍ଲା ନଗର ଉନ୍ନୟନ ସଂସ୍ଥା (ଡୁଡା)ର ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷଙ୍କୁ ଆବେଦନ ଉପରେ ଚାରି ସପ୍ତାହ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଆଇନ ଅନୁଯାୟୀ ବିଚାର କରି ନିଷ୍ପତ୍ତି ନେବାକୁ ହାଇକୋର୍ଟ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶ ଦେବା ପରେ ପୌରାଞ୍ଚଳର ଉନ୍ନୟନ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଏବଂ ପ୍ରଶାସନିକ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟପ୍ରଣାଳୀକୁ ନେଇ ନୂଆ ପ୍ରଶ୍ନ ଉଠିଛି।ନ୍ୟାୟମୂର୍ତ୍ତି ସଞ୍ଜୟ କୁମାର ମିଶ୍ର ଡବ୍ଲ୍ୟୁ.ପି.(ସି) ନଂ-୨୧୭୫୩/୨୦୨୬ର ଶୁଣାଣି କରି ଏହି ଆଦେଶ ଦେଇଛନ୍ତି। ମାମଲାଟି ୱାର୍ଡ ନଂ-୧୮ର କାଉନସିଲର ବିଦୁଲତା ସାହୁଙ୍କ ପକ୍ଷରୁ ଦାଖଲ କରାଯାଇଥିଲା। ସେ ଅଭିଯୋଗ କରିଥିଲେ ଯେ, ଗତ ଜୁନ୍ ୩୦ରେ ୱାର୍ଡର ରାସ୍ତା, ମୌଳିକ ସୁବିଧା ସମେତ ବିଭିନ୍ନ ଉନ୍ନୟନମୂଳକ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ପାଇଁ ପାଣ୍ଠି ମଞ୍ଜୁର ଓ ଟେଣ୍ଡର ପ୍ରକ୍ରିୟା ଆରମ୍ଭ କରିବାକୁ ପ୍ରଶାସନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଲିଖିତ ଆବେଦନ କରିଥିଲେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ଦୀର୍ଘ ସମୟ ବିତିଯାଇଥିଲେ ମଧ୍ୟ ତାହା ଉପରେ କୌଣସି ପଦକ୍ଷେପ ନିଆଯାଇନଥିବାରୁ ସେ ହାଇକୋର୍ଟଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରସ୍ଥ ହୋଇଥିଲେ। ଶୁଣାଣି ସମୟରେ ରାଜ୍ୟ ସରକାରଙ୍କ ପକ୍ଷରୁ ଅତିରିକ୍ତ ସରକାରୀ ଓକିଲ କୋର୍ଟଙ୍କୁ ଜଣାଇଥିଲେ ଯେ, ଏହି ପ୍ରସଙ୍ଗରେ ନିଷ୍ପତ୍ତି ନେବାର କ୍ଷମତା ଖୋର୍ଦ୍ଧା ପୌରପାଳିକାର କାର୍ଯ୍ୟନିର୍ବାହୀ ଅଧିକାରୀଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ନୁହେଁ, ବରଂ ଜିଲ୍ଲାପାଳ ତଥା ଡୁଡା ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ରହିଛି। ଏହା ପରେ କୋର୍ଟ ମାମଲାର ବିସ୍ତୃତ ଶୁଣାଣି ନକରି ପ୍ରଶାସନକୁ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦିଷ୍ଟ ସମୟସୀମା ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଆବେଦନର ବିଚାର କରିବାକୁ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶ ଦେଇଛନ୍ତି।ହାଇକୋର୍ଟ ସ୍ପଷ୍ଟ କରିଛନ୍ତି ଯେ, ଆଦେଶର ପ୍ରମାଣିତ ନକଲ ମିଳିବାର ଚାରି ସପ୍ତାହ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଜିଲ୍ଲାପାଳ ଆଇନ ଅନୁଯାୟୀ ଏକ କାରଣଦର୍ଶାଉଥିବା ନିଷ୍ପତ୍ତି ନେବେ ଏବଂ ପରବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ୧୦ ଦିନ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ତାହା ଆବେଦନକାରୀଙ୍କୁ ଜଣାଇବେ। ଆବଶ୍ୟକ ହେଲେ ଆବେଦନକାରୀଙ୍କୁ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିଗତ ଶୁଣାଣିର ସୁଯୋଗ ଦେବାକୁ ମଧ୍ୟ କୋର୍ଟ କହିଛନ୍ତି। ଏହି ଘଟଣା କେବଳ ଗୋଟିଏ ୱାର୍ଡର ଉନ୍ନୟନ ପ୍ରସଙ୍ଗରେ ସୀମିତ ନୁହେଁ; ବରଂ ପୌରାଞ୍ଚଳରେ ଉନ୍ନୟନ ପ୍ରକଳ୍ପ ଅନୁମୋଦନ, ପାଣ୍ଠି ବଣ୍ଟନ ଓ ଟେଣ୍ଡର ପ୍ରକ୍ରିୟା କେତେ ଶୀଘ୍ର ଓ ସ୍ୱଚ୍ଛ ଭାବେ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକାରୀ ହେଉଛି, ତାହାକୁ ନେଇ ମଧ୍ୟ ଆଲୋଚନା ଆରମ୍ଭ ହୋଇଛି। ଯଦି ଜନପ୍ରତିନିଧିଙ୍କ ଲିଖିତ ଆବେଦନ ଉପରେ ସମୟୋପଯୋଗୀ ନିଷ୍ପତ୍ତି ନ ହୁଏ, ତେବେ ସାଧାରଣ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ବିକାଶମୂଳକ ଦାବି କେତେ ଶୀଘ୍ର ସମାଧାନ ହେଉଛି, ସେନେଇ ପ୍ରଶ୍ନ ଉଠିବା ସ୍ୱାଭାବିକ ବୋଲି ସ୍ଥାନୀୟ ମହଲରେ ମତ ପ୍ରକାଶ ପାଉଛି। ତେବେ ହାଇକୋର୍ଟ ତାଙ୍କ ଆଦେଶରେ ଆବେଦନକାରୀଙ୍କ ଦାବିର ସତ୍ୟତା କିମ୍ବା ଯଥାର୍ଥତା ସମ୍ପର୍କରେ କୌଣସି ମତ ଦେଇନାହାନ୍ତି। କେବଳ ସକ୍ଷମ କର୍ତ୍ତୃପକ୍ଷଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରଚଳିତ ଆଇନ ଓ ପ୍ରଶାସନିକ ନିୟମ ଅନୁସାରେ ଆବେଦନର ବିଚାର କରି ଯୁକ୍ତିସଙ୍ଗତ ନିଷ୍ପତ୍ତି ନେବାକୁ କହିଛନ୍ତି। ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ରହିଛି ଜିଲ୍ଲା ପ୍ରଶାସନର ପରବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ପଦକ୍ଷେପ ଉପରେ। କୋର୍ଟଙ୍କ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶ ପରେ ୱାର୍ଡ-୧୮ର ଉନ୍ନୟନ ପ୍ରକଳ୍ପଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଅନୁମୋଦନ ପାଇବ କି ନାହିଁ ଏବଂ ବିଳମ୍ବର ପ୍ରକୃତ କାରଣ କ'ଣ ଥିଲା, ତାହା ସାମ୍ନାକୁ ଆସିବାକୁ ଅପେକ୍ଷା ରହିଛି।

ନୂଆପଡ଼ା ଜିଲ୍ଲା ଖଡ଼ିଆଳ ବ୍ଲକ ଅନ୍ତର୍ଗତ ଲାଞ୍ଜି ମହାବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟରେ ଯୁକ୍ତ–୨ ଶ୍ରେଣୀର ଶୁଭ ଉଦ୍ଘାଟନ ଅବସରରେ ଏକ ଗମ୍ଭୀର ଓ ଆଡ଼ମ୍ବରପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ସ୍ୱାଗତ ସମାରୋହ ଅନୁଷ୍ଠିତ ହୋଇଯାଇଛି। ନୂତନ ଭାବେ ନାମଲେଖାଇ ଆସିଥିବା ଛାତ୍ରଛାତ୍ରୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ଫୁଲ, ଚନ୍ଦନ ଓ ଉତ୍ତରୀୟ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରି ସ୍ନେହପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ସ୍ୱାଗତ କରାଯାଇଥିଲା। ଶିକ୍ଷା ପ୍ରତି ଆଗ୍ରହ, ଶୃଙ୍ଖଳା ଓ ନୈତିକ ମୂଲ୍ୟବୋଧ ସହ ଉଜ୍ଜ୍ୱଳ ଭବିଷ୍ୟତ ଗଢ଼ିବା ପାଇଁ ଛାତ୍ରଛାତ୍ରୀଙ୍କୁ ଆହ୍ୱାନ ଦିଆଯାଇଥିଲା । ଏହି ଉଦ୍ଘାଟନୀ ସମାରୋହରେ ଖଡ଼ିଆଳ ବିଧାୟକ ଅଧୀରାଜ ପାଣିଗ୍ରାହୀ ମୁଖ୍ୟ ଅତିଥି ଭାବେ ଯୋଗଦେଇ ଯୁକ୍ତ–୨ କଲେଜର ଔପଚାରିକ ଶୁଭ ଉଦ୍ଘାଟନ କରିଥିଲେ । ନିଜ ବକ୍ତବ୍ୟରେ ସେ କହିଥିଲେ ଯେ, ଗ୍ରାମାଞ୍ଚଳର ଶିକ୍ଷାର ବିକାଶ ହିଁ ଅଞ୍ଚଳର ସର୍ବାଙ୍ଗୀଣ ଉନ୍ନତିର ମୂଳ ଆଧାର। ଶିକ୍ଷା ମାଧ୍ୟମରେ ଛାତ୍ରଛାତ୍ରୀମାନେ ନିଜର ପ୍ରତିଭାକୁ ବିକଶିତ କରି ସମାଜ ଓ ରାଜ୍ୟ ପାଇଁ ଆଦର୍ଶ ନାଗରିକ ହୋଇପାରିବେ ବୋଲି ସେ ପ୍ରକାଶ କରିଥିଲେ । ସମ୍ମାନିତ ଅତିଥି ଭାବେ ଖଡ଼ିଆଳ ବ୍ଲକ ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷା ଶ୍ରୀମତୀ ପୁଷ୍ପାଞ୍ଜଳି ନନ୍ଦ, ସ୍ଥାନୀୟ ସମାଜସେବୀ ଅକ୍ଷୟ ନନ୍ଦ, ବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟ ପରିଚାଳନା କମିଟି (SMC)ର ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷ ଜଗବନ୍ଧୁ ନାଏକ, ଲାଞ୍ଜି ଯୁକ୍ତ–୨ ମହାବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟର ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷ ପ୍ରୟାସ ରଞ୍ଜନ ବାରିକ ଏବଂ ପୂର୍ବତନ ପ୍ରଧାନ ଶିକ୍ଷୟିତ୍ରୀ ମମତା ପାଢ଼ୀ ମଞ୍ଚାସୀନ ରହି ଛାତ୍ରଛାତ୍ରୀଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରେରଣାଦାୟକ ଅଭିଭାଷଣ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିଥିଲେ । ଅତିଥିମାନେ ନିଜ ଅଭିଭାଷଣରେ କହିଥିଲେ ଯେ, ଉଚ୍ଚଶିକ୍ଷା କେବଳ ଡିଗ୍ରୀ ହାସଲ କରିବାର ମାଧ୍ୟମ ନୁହେଁ, ବରଂ ଜୀବନରେ ସଫଳତା, ନେତୃତ୍ୱ ଓ ଉତ୍ତମ ଚରିତ୍ର ଗଠନର ମୂଳ ଭିତ୍ତି । ଛାତ୍ରଛାତ୍ରୀମାନେ ଅଧ୍ୟବସାୟ, ଶୃଙ୍ଖଳା ଓ କଠିନ ପରିଶ୍ରମକୁ ଆପଣାଇ ନିଜ ଭବିଷ୍ୟତକୁ ସୁଦୃଢ଼ କରିବା ସହ ପରିବାର, ସମାଜ ଓ ଦେଶ ପାଇଁ ଗୌରବ ଆଣିବାକୁ ଆହ୍ୱାନ ଦିଆଯାଇଥିଲା । କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମକୁ ଶିକ୍ଷକ ଭାଗିରଥି ବିଶି ସୁନ୍ଦର ଭାବେ ପରିଚାଳନା କରିଥିଲେ । ଏହି ଅବସରରେ ମହାବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟର ସମସ୍ତ ଅଧ୍ୟାପକ, ଅଧ୍ୟାପିକା, ସ୍ଥାନୀୟ ଉଚ୍ଚ ବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟର ଶିକ୍ଷକ-ଶିକ୍ଷୟିତ୍ରୀ, ଅଭିଭାବକ ଏବଂ ବିଭିନ୍ନ ଅଞ୍ଚଳରୁ ଆସିଥିବା ବହୁ ସଂଖ୍ୟକ ଛାତ୍ରଛାତ୍ରୀ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ଥିଲେ । ନୂତନ ଶିକ୍ଷାବର୍ଷର ଏହି ଶୁଭାରମ୍ଭ ଅବସରରେ ଛାତ୍ରଛାତ୍ରୀଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଉତ୍ସାହ ଓ ଆତ୍ମବିଶ୍ୱାସ ପରିଲକ୍ଷିତ ହୋଇଥିବା ବେଳେ, ଲାଞ୍ଜି ମହାବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟ ଅଞ୍ଚଳରେ ଗୁଣାତ୍ମକ ଶିକ୍ଷା ପ୍ରଦାନ ଦିଗରେ ଆହୁରି ଏକ ସଫଳ ପଦକ୍ଷେପ ନେଇଥିବା ବୋଲି ସମସ୍ତେ ମତ ପ୍ରକାଶ କରିଥିଲେ ।

Nuapada, The football referees of Nuapada district have once again brought pride to the district by demonstrating their outstanding fitness, dedication, and officiating standards. Seven referees from Nuapada successfully participated in the Football Association of Odisha (FAO) Referee Upgrade Fitness Test 2026 (South Zone), marking another significant achievement for the district’s football fraternity. The two-day fitness assessment was conducted on July 31 and August 1 at the Jeypore Sports Complex in Koraput district, where referees from various districts across Odisha took part. Among the seven participants from Nuapada, six were existing Level-8 referees, while one was a newly registered referee appearing in the upgrade fitness test for the first time. The test was conducted under the supervision of Durga Madhab Nayak, Head of the Referee Department of the Football Association of Odisha. Out of the six existing Level-8 referees from Nuapada, five successfully cleared the fitness test, making them eligible for promotion to Level-7. The newly enrolled referee also performed commendably, successfully completing the assessment and demonstrating excellent potential for future officiating assignments. Sports experts have described this achievement as a reflection of the growing standard of referee development, fitness, and professional training in Nuapada district. They noted that qualified referees play a crucial role in ensuring fair play and the smooth conduct of football competitions at every level. The achievement has been widely appreciated by football enthusiasts, sports organizers, and members of the local sporting community. They believe the success of these referees will inspire many more young football lovers in Nuapada to pursue refereeing as a promising career and contribute to the development of the sport. The outstanding performance of Nuapada’s referees in the FAO Upgrade Fitness Test has added another glorious chapter to the district’s sporting history and stands as a testament to its steadily improving football ecosystem.

Kalahandi district, Dharmagarh block, Behera Primary Health Center, a retirement felicitation programme of the devoted and popular health worker Nityanand Sahu has been held. Dharmagarh MLA Sudhir Kumar Pattyoshi attended the retirement celebration as the chief guest, while the guests of honor were Dr. Debadatt Panda, Chidanand Panda, Nihar Ranjan Meher, Subhalakshmi Rout, Jhankarani Mohapatra, Boden Group Health Center Medical Officer Dr. Sanjeev Naik, educationist Tulsi Ram Barik, Shashidhar Sahu, social workers Ghanashyam Patel, Narendra Naik, Manibhadhar Naik were prominently present and spoke in detail about the long working life, dedication, service spirit and remarkable contribution of the retired health workers in the field of public health. A health worker is not only a government employee, but also a servant of the society. The chief guest said in his speech that the dedication, simplicity and efficiency of the retired health workers are exemplary for everyone. On this occasion, the retired health workers were felicitated by presenting them with a Uttariya, bouquet, certificate and memento. The felicitation meeting was coordinated by Surendra Kumar Sahu while Om Prakash Sahu proposed the vote of thanks. In the end, the atmosphere was emotional and everyone wished the retired health workers a healthy, happy and long life. Along with the health department employees, many public representatives and many prominent people of the locality were present on this occasion.

Sinapali: “Service to humanity is service to God.” Living up to this noble ideal through action rather than words, Sunita Meher, Sarpanch of Sinapali Gram Panchayat in Nuapada district, has set an inspiring example by promoting voluntary blood donation as a social movement. Every year, on the occasion of national celebrations, she honours voluntary blood donors from the region, encouraging more people to come forward and creating a remarkable tradition of social service. This noble initiative has received unwavering support from social worker Buddhadeb Meher since its inception. Their joint efforts have significantly increased awareness about voluntary blood donation among the youth of Sinapali and neighbouring villages. Today, many young people willingly donate blood during emergencies, helping save the lives of strangers and demonstrating the true spirit of humanity. Over the past four years, 40 voluntary blood donors have been felicitated with the prestigious “Seva Veer” (Service Hero) honour by Sinapali Gram Panchayat. These individuals have selflessly donated blood during emergencies, helping save countless precious lives. In recognition of their humanitarian service, they have been honoured as “Seva Veer.” Their dedication has become a source of inspiration for the entire region. The initiative has not only encouraged these individuals but has also fostered a culture of voluntary blood donation across villages including Sinapali, Gambhariguda, Bargaon, Kapsi, Sagunbhadi, Litiguda, Hatibandha, Singjhar, Kandamunda, and Mahulpada. Speaking on the occasion, Sarpanch Sunita Meher said that honouring blood donors motivates more young people to participate in voluntary blood donation. Continuing this tradition, the Gram Panchayat plans to felicitate 10 more voluntary blood donors during the Independence Day celebrations on August 15, 2026. She expressed confidence that such recognition would inspire more citizens to join this life-saving mission. Social worker Buddhadeb Meher stated, “Blood donation is the greatest donation. No precious life should be lost due to a shortage of blood. Every healthy and capable individual should come forward to donate blood and help those in need.” He has been actively involved in organising awareness campaigns and motivating people to become regular voluntary blood donors. The unique initiative of Sinapali Gram Panchayat has earned widespread appreciation from local residents, intellectuals, social activists, and youth organisations. According to them, the programme is not merely a felicitation ceremony but a powerful movement that promotes humanity, compassion, and social responsibility. By transforming voluntary blood donation into a community-driven mission, Sinapali Gram Panchayat has emerged as a model for the entire Nuapada district. The initiative clearly demonstrates that determined leadership, community participation, and a spirit of selfless service can inspire society and illuminate countless lives with hope.

A retirement felicitation ceremony was organized in honour of Mr. Dambarudhar Bag, Junior Clerk of PM SHRI Government Higher Secondary School, Dahagaon, under Kokasara Block in Kalahandi district, recognizing his dedicated service and valuable contributions to the institution. The programme was held under the chairmanship of Mr. Jitendra Bhakta, Principal of PM SHRI Government Higher Secondary School, Dahagaon. Mr. Mahendra Kumar Bania, Principal of Dangariguda Higher Secondary School, attended the event as the Chief Guest. Among the distinguished guests were Mr. Sudhanshu Sekhar Panda, retired Headmaster of Khuntia Upgraded Upper Primary School; Mr. Santosh Bhaisal, President of the School Management Committee (SMC); Mr. Trilochan Mahanand, former President of the SMC; and Mr. Samanta Pattajoshi, Senior Teacher of the school. The speakers praised Mr. Bag for his sincerity, dedication, honesty, cordial behaviour, and unwavering commitment throughout his service. They noted that his disciplined work ethic and respectful attitude towards colleagues and students earned him a distinct identity and admiration during his long professional career. On the occasion, Mr. Bag was presented with mementoes and traditional gifts as a token of appreciation for his exemplary service and was accorded a warm farewell by the school fraternity.
