ରାଉରକେଲା: ରୋଟାରୀ କ୍ଲବ ଅଫ୍ ଭାଇବ୍ରାଣ୍ଟ ତରଫରୁ ବିଭିନ୍ନ ସାମାଜିକ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ କରାଯାଇଛି। କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ ଗୁଡିକ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ହାଇଟେକ୍ ମେଡିକାଲ୍ କଲେଜ ର ମିଳିତ ଆନୁକୂଲ୍ୟରେ ଏକ ନିଃଶୁଳ୍କ ସ୍ବାସ୍ଥ୍ୟସେବା ଶିବିର ବେଦବ୍ୟାସ ସ୍ଥିତ ଗୁରୁକୁଳ ଆଶ୍ରମ ଟି ଅନୁଷ୍ଠିତ ହୋଇଯାଇଛି। ହାଇଟେକ୍ ମେଡିକାଲ୍ କଲେଜର ଏଜିଏମ ଶୁଭାଶିଷ ତ୍ରିପାଠୀଙ୍କ ନେତୃତ୍ୱରେ ଏକ ଡ଼ାକ୍ତରୀ ଦଳ ଓ ଭାଇବ୍ରାଣ୍ଟ ସଦସ୍ୟ ଙ୍କ ସହାୟତା ରେ ଆଶ୍ରମର ପ୍ରାୟ ୨୦୦ ଜଣ ଅନ୍ତେବାସୀ ଙ୍କ ସ୍ବାସ୍ଥ୍ୟ ପରୀକ୍ଷା, ରକ୍ତ ପରୀକ୍ଷା ଓ ଔଷଧ ବିତରଣ କରାଯାଇଥିଲା। ସେହିପରି ଆଶ୍ରମର ପ୍ରାକ୍ତନ ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷ ଡ ଉମାକାନ୍ତ ପଣ୍ଡାଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟକ୍ଷ ସହଯୋଗରେ ଅନ୍ତେବାସୀଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ପ୍ରସାଦ ବିତରଣ କରାଯାଇଥିଲା। ଅନ୍ୟପଟେ ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଏକ ସଚେତନତା କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମରେ ପ୍ରାକ୍ତନ ପ୍ରଫେସର ରୋଟାରିଆନ ଅଞ୍ଜଳି ହୋତା ଡେଙ୍ଗୁ, ମ୍ୟାଲେରିଆ ରୁ ମୁକ୍ତି ପାଇବା ପାଇଁ ଆବଶ୍ୟକୀୟ ପରାମର୍ଶ ଦେଇଥିଲେ। ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମରେ ଭାଇବ୍ରାଣ୍ଟ ସଭାପତି ରୋଟାରିଆନ ଡ ସଞ୍ଜୁକ୍ତା ପତି, ସମ୍ପାଦକ ରୋଟାରିଆନ ବିଜୟଲକ୍ଷ୍ମୀ ତ୍ରିପାଠୀ, ତଥା ସମସ୍ତ ରୋଟାରିଆନ ବସନ୍ତ ତନ୍ତୀ, ପ୍ରଶାନ୍ତ ପାତ୍ର, ଅଶୋକ ମିଶ୍ର, ଅଞ୍ଜଳି ହୋତା, ଅନିତା ନାୟକ, ଅନିତା ଜୈନ,ଡ଼ ନିବେଦିତା ପଟ୍ଟନାୟକ ରାୟ, ନିରୁପମା ପତି, ସୈ।ଦାମିନୀ ଶତପଥୀ ତଥା କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମର ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷ ବିଘ୍ନେଶ ପତି ପ୍ରମୁଖ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ରହି କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ ପରିଚାଳନାରେ ସହଯୋଗ କରିଥିଲେ।

ରାଉରକେଲା : ସୁନାଫୁଲ ସାହିତ୍ୟ ସଂସଦ ପକ୍ଷରୁ କଳିଙ୍ଗବିହାର ଟିସ୍କୋ କଲୋନୀସ୍ଥିତ ସୁନାଫୁଲ ସାହିତ୍ୟ ସଂସଦ ଗୃହ ପରିସରରେ କ୍ରାନ୍ତି ଦିବସ ପାଳନ ଓ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକାରିଣୀ ବୈଠକ ସଂସଦର ସଭାପତି ମହେନ୍ଦ୍ର ମହାନ୍ତିଙ୍କ ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷତାରେ ଅନୁଷ୍ଠିତ ହୋଉଯାଇଛି l ସାଧାରଣ ସମ୍ପାଦକ ସୁନୀଲ ମହାନ୍ତି ସ୍ୱାଗତ ପ୍ରଦାନ ପୂର୍ବକ ଆଜିର ବୈଠକର ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟ ଜ୍ଞାପନ କରି କହିଥିଲେ ଯେ, ସୁନାଫୁଲ ପକ୍ଷରୁ ପ୍ରତିବର୍ଷ ପରି ଚଳିତ ବର୍ଷ ଆସନ୍ତା ଶତେଇଶ ତାରିଖ ଗହ୍ମା ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣିମା ଦିନ ଗଙ୍ଗାଧର ମେହେର ଜୟନ୍ତୀ ପାଳନ ଓ ଶିଶୁ ମହୋତ୍ସବ କରାଯିବ l ଏହି କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମରେ ଛାତ୍ର ଛାତ୍ରୀମନେ ବହୁ ସଂଖ୍ୟାରେ ଯୋଗଦେଇ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମକୁ ସାକାର କରିବେ l ଏହି କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମରେ ସମସ୍ତ ସଭ୍ୟ ସଭ୍ୟା ସହଯୋଗ କରିବାକୁ ସେ ନିବେଦନ କରିଥିଲେ l କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକାରୀ ସଭାପତି ଅଭୟ କୁମାର ଦାସ କ୍ରାନ୍ତି ଦିବସ ପାଳନ ର ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟ ସମ୍ପର୍କରେ ବକ୍ତବ୍ୟ ରଖିଥିଲେ ଯେ, ଆଜିର ଦିନରେ ମହାତ୍ମାଗାନ୍ଧୀଙ୍କ ଡାକରାରେ ଇଂରେଜମାନଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଅସହଯୋଗ ଆନ୍ଦୋଳନ କରାଯାଇଥିଲା l ଆମ ଭାରତୀୟ ମାନେ 'କର ଅବା ମର ' ନୀତିରେ ସ୍ୱାଧୀନତା ପାଇଁ ଲଢେଇରେ ସାମିଲ ହୋଇଥିଲେ l ସୁନାଫୁଲ ସାହିତ୍ୟ ସଂସଦ ଶିଶୁ କିଶୋରମାନଙ୍କ ମଙ୍ଗଳ ପାଇଁ ବିଭିନ୍ନ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କରି ଆସୁଛି l ସେ ଏହି ଅବସରରେ ଶିଶୁ ସାହିତ୍ୟ ମହୋତ୍ସବକୁ ଉତ୍ସାହର ସହିତ ପାଳନ କରିବାକୁ ପରାମର୍ଶ ଦେଇଥିଲେ l ସଂଗଠନ ସମ୍ପାଦକ ବ୍ରହ୍ମାନନ୍ଦ ପାଢ଼ୀ ସୁନାଫୁଲ ସାହିତ୍ୟ ଘରର ଅସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକୁ ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରିବାକୁ ପ୍ରସ୍ତାବ ଦେବା ସହ ଟିକିଟିକି ସୁନାଫୁଲ ପତ୍ରିକା ପାଇଁ ଲେଖା ଆହ୍ୱାନ କରିଥିଲେ l ସଭାପତି ମହେନ୍ଦ୍ର ମହାନ୍ତି ତାଙ୍କ ବକ୍ତବ୍ୟରେ କହିଲେ ଯେ, ସମାଜ ପାଇଁ ସେବା କରିବାକୁ ଆମମାନଙ୍କର ଇଚ୍ଛା ଶକ୍ତି ହିଁ ସଫଳତାର ରାସ୍ତା ଦେଖାଉଛି l ମାତୃଭୂମି ଓ ମାତୃଭାଷା ପାଇଁ ସୁନାଫୁଲ ସାହିତ୍ୟ ସଂସଦର ସଭ୍ୟସଭ୍ୟାମାନଙ୍କର ତ୍ୟାଗ ଅତୁଳନୀୟ l ସଂସ୍କୃତି ସଭ୍ୟା ନିରୁପମା ପତି ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିଥିବାବେଳେ, ରଶ୍ମି ବେହେରା, ସୂର୍ଯ୍ୟମଣି ପଣ୍ଡା, ଏସ. ଏନ ସ୍ୱାଇଁ. ପ୍ରମୋଦ କୁମାର ପାତ୍ର, ହୃଷିକେଶ ମୁଦୁଲି, ତ୍ରିଲୋଚନ ପାଢ଼ୀ ପ୍ରମୁଖ ବହୁ ସଭ୍ୟ ସଭ୍ୟା ଯୋଗ ଦାନ କରିଥିଲେ l

ରାଉରକେଲା ସହରର ଜଣାଶୁଣା ସାମାଜିକ ସଂସ୍ଥା ସେୟାର ର ୱିଙ୍ଗ ସୁର ତରଙ୍ଗ ପକ୍ଷରୁ ମାସିକ ସଙ୍ଗୀତ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ ରାଜେଶ୍ ଖାନ୍ନା ସ୍ପେସିଆଲ ସରୋବର ଠାରେ ଅନୁଷ୍ଠିତ ହୋଇଯାଇଛି। ଏହି ଅବସରରେ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ବିଶିଷ୍ଟ ସାମ୍ବାଦିକ ତଥା ଲେଖକ କୁଞ୍ଜବିହାରୀ ରାଉତ ଅତିଥି ଭାବେ ଯୋଗଦେଇ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ସାହିତ କରିଥିଲେ l ପ୍ରଥମେ ସୁଧୀର ଅଧିକାରୀ ଓ ସମସ୍ତ ସୁର ତରଙ୍ଗ ପରିବାର ମା ଦୁର୍ଗା ଓ ଭଗବାନ ଜଗନ୍ନାଥଙ୍କ ମୂର୍ତ୍ତିକୁ ମାଳା ପିନ୍ଧାଇ ଓ ପ୍ରଦୀପ ଜାଳି କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ ଆରମ୍ଭ କରିବା ସହ ହିନ୍ଦୀ ଚଳଚ୍ଚିତ୍ର ଜଗତର ପ୍ରଥମ ସୁପରଷ୍ଟାର ରାଜେଶ୍ ଖାନ୍ନା କୁ ଶ୍ରଦ୍ଧାଞ୍ଜଳି ଦେଇଥିଲେ l କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମଟି ମା ଙ୍କ ବନ୍ଦନା ଓ ଜଗନ୍ନାଥ ଭଜନରୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ ହୋଇଥିଲା। ଏହା ପରେ ସୁର ତରଙ୍ଗର ସ୍ଥାପକ ଦିଲୀପ କୁମାର ପରିଡା ସଂସ୍ଥାର ଆଗାମୀ ସଙ୍ଗୀତ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ ଓ ସମସ୍ତ ପରିବାର ଲୋକଙ୍କ ସୁର ତରଙ୍ଗ ର ଯାତ୍ରା ଓ ଅନୁଭୂତି ବିଷୟରେ ଆଲୋକପାତ କରିଥିଲେ l ପରେ ଅନୁଷ୍ଠାନ ତରଫରୁ ଶୁଭସ୍ମିତା ଦାସ କରଙ୍କ ଜନ୍ମ ଦିନ ପାଳନ କରାଯାଇଥିଲl l ପରେ ଅନୁଷ୍ଠାନ ର ଶୁଭସ୍ମିତା ଦାସ, ଦିଲୀପ କୁମାର ପରିଡା, ବିଶ୍ୱଜିତ ଲେଙ୍କା, ଇତି ପଟ୍ଟନାୟକ, ମନୋଜ୍ ଶାହା, ଜଗନ୍ନାଥ ସାହୁ,ବିଳାସିନୀ ଅଧିକାରୀ, ରମେଶ ଷଡ଼ଙ୍ଗୀ, ରାଜେନ୍ଦ୍ର ଅଗ୍ରୱାଲ, ଅନିରୁଦ୍ଧ ସାହୁ, ମୀନାକ୍ଷୀ ମହାରଣା,ଡ଼ ସତ୍ୟନାରାୟଣ ମିଶ୍ର,ବିମଳ ସାହୁ, ସୁଧୀର ଅଧିକାରୀ, ମନୋଜ ମହନ୍ତ, ଲୀନା ସେନାପତି, ଶ୍ରାବଣୀ ମହାନ୍ତି , ନିବେଦିତା ବେହେରା ପ୍ରମୁଖ ରାଜେଶ୍ ଖାନ୍ନା ଙ୍କର ଚଳଚ୍ଚିତ୍ର ର ସୁନ୍ଦର୍ ସୁନ୍ଦର ଗୀତ ଗାଇଥିଲେ l ଯାହା ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ଶ୍ରୋତା ଙ୍କୁ ମନ୍ତ୍ର ମୁଗ୍ଧ କରିଥିଲା। କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମରେ ଅନିରୁଦ୍ଧ ସାହୁ ଓ ସୁଧୀର ଅଧିକାରୀ ଙ୍କ ର ଉଚ୍ଚକୋଟୀର ସଙ୍ଗୀତ ପରିବେଷଣ ଯୋଗୁଁ ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠ ସଂଗୀତ ଶିଳ୍ପୀ ଭାବେ ସମ୍ମାନିତ କରାଯାଇଥିଲା l ଡ ସତ୍ୟନାରାୟଣ ମିଶ୍ର ତତ୍ବାବଧାନରେ ଆୟୋଜିତ ଏହି କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମର ଶେଷରେ ରାଜେନ୍ଦ୍ର ଅଗ୍ରୱାଲ ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ ଜଣାଇ ଥିଲେ।

ରାଉରକେଲା, ଅଗ୍ରଣୀ ସାହିତ୍ୟ ଅନୁଷ୍ଠାନ ଇସ୍ପାତ୍ ସାହିତ୍ୟ ସଂସଦ ଆନୁକୂଲ୍ୟରେ ସେକ୍ଟର ସାତ ସ୍ଥିତ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟାଳୟ ଠାରେ ୧୬୫ତମ ଗଙ୍ଗାଧର ମେହେରଙ୍କ ଜୟନ୍ତୀ ମହା ସମାରୋହରେ ପାଳିତ ହୋଇଯାଇଛି। ସଂସଦର ସଭାପତି ନୃସିଂହ ଚରଣ ବିଶ୍ଵାଳଙ୍କ ସଭାପତିତ୍ବରେ ଅନୁଷ୍ଠିତ ଏହି କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମରେ ମୁଖ୍ୟ ଅତିଥି ଭାବେ ରାଉରକେଲା ଇସ୍ପାତ୍ କାରଖାନାର ପ୍ରାକ୍ତନ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ନିର୍ବାହୀ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶକ ଭାରତ ଭୂଷଣ ମହାନ୍ତି ଯୋଗ ଦେଇଥିଲା ବେଳେ ଅଧ୍ୟାପିକା ପ୍ରିୟଙ୍କା ପଲେଇ ' କାବ୍ୟ ଶିଳ୍ପୀ ଗଙ୍ଗାଧର ' ଶୀର୍ଷକ ଆଲୋଚନାରେ ମେହେର ସାହିତ୍ୟର ପଟ୍ଟାନ୍ତର ନାହିଁ ବୋଲି ମତ ପ୍ରକାଶ କରିଥିଲେ। ସଂସଦର ଉପସଭାପତି ରଶ୍ମିବାଳା ରାଉତରାୟ ଙ୍କ ମଞ୍ଚ ପରିଚାଳନାରେ ଅନୁଷ୍ଠିତ ଏହି ସଭାରେ ସାଧାରଣ ସମ୍ପାଦକ ମନୋଜ୍ କୁମାର ନନ୍ଦ ଅତିଥି ପରିଚୟ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିଥିଲେ। ସର୍ବ ପ୍ରଥମେ ମଞ୍ଚାସିନ ଅତିଥିଗଣ ଶ୍ରୀଜଗନ୍ନାଥ ଓ କବି ଗଙ୍ଗାଧରଙ୍କ ଫଟୋ ଚିତ୍ରରେ ମାଲ୍ୟାର୍ପଣ ପୂର୍ବକ ପ୍ରଦୀପ ପ୍ରଜ୍ୱଳନ କରି ସଭାର ଶୁଭାରମ୍ଭ କରିଥଲେ ଏବଂ ସଙ୍ଗୀତଜ୍ଞ ଶରତ ଚନ୍ଦ୍ର ଧଳ ମେହେର କବିତା ଆବୃତ୍ତି କରିଥଲେ।ଇତ୍ୟବସରରେ କବି ରବିନ୍ଦ୍ର ନାଥ ମହାନ୍ତିଙ୍କ କବିତା ସଙ୍କଳନ' ଜନନୀ ଜନ୍ମଭୂମିଶ୍ଚ ' ଲୋକାର୍ପିତ ହୋଇଥିଲା। ଅଧ୍ୟାପକ ମହେନ୍ଦ୍ର କୁମାର ମିଶ୍ର ପୁସ୍ତକ ସମୀକ୍ଷା କରିଥିବା ବେଳେ କବି ଶ୍ରୀ ମହାନ୍ତି ଲେଖକୀୟ ଅଭିବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିଥିଲେ। ମେହେର କାବ୍ୟ କବିତା ଆବୃତ୍ତି ପ୍ରତିଯୋଗିତାରେ ଦଶ ଜଣ ସ୍କୁଲ୍ ଛାତ୍ର ଛାତ୍ରୀଙ୍କୁ ସମ୍ବର୍ଦ୍ଧିତ କରାଯାଇଥିଲା। ଅନ୍ଵେଶିତା ପଣ୍ଡା, ଅରୁଣିମା ସାହୁ, ଶ୍ରେୟା ଦାସ, ସ୍ମୁତି ପ୍ରଜ୍ଞା ମଲ୍ଲିକ୍, ସାଇନି ପ୍ରିୟଦର୍ଶିନୀ ଜେନା, ଅର୍ଣଭ ରାଜ୍ ହରିପାଲ, ତେଜସ୍ଵୀନି ପରିଡ଼ା, ଶ୍ରୁତି ଲାକ୍ରା, ତେଜସ୍ଵୀନି ସ୍ୱାଇଁ ଓ ତବୁ ହରିପାଲ ଆଦି ଛାତ୍ର ଛାତ୍ରୀଙ୍କୁ ଏହି କ୍ରମରେ ଡି ଏନ୍ ପତି ଏବଂ ନୀଳମଣି ପାତ୍ର ସ୍ମୁତି ପୁରସ୍କାର ପ୍ରଦାନ କରାଯାଇଥିଲା। ଦ୍ୱିତୀୟ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟାୟ କବିତା ପାଠ ଉତ୍ସବରେ କବି ମଞ୍ଜୁଳା କୁମାରୀ ରଥ ସଭାପତିତ୍ୱ କରିଥିବାବେଳେ କଵି ହୃଷୀକେଶ ସାହୁ ଏବଂ କଳ୍ପନା ନନ୍ଦ କବିତା ଗୁଡିକୁ ସଂଯୋଜନା କରିଥିଲେ। ଅଶୋକ କୁମାର ପାତ୍ର, ଉପେନ୍ଦ୍ର କୁମାର ବସ୍ତିଆ, କୁଞ୍ଜ ବିହାରୀ ରାଉତ୍, ସତ୍ୟବ୍ରତ ଦାସ, ଅଭିରାମ ପ୍ରଧାନ, ନିକୁଞ୍ଜ ବିହାରୀ ଦାଶ, ନବଘନ ସାମଲ, ଡ଼ ଜୟନ୍ତୀ କୁମାରୀ ପାଢ଼ୀ, ଚିତ୍ତରଂଜନ ବ୍ରହ୍ମା, ତ୍ରିଲୋଚନ ସ୍ୱାଇଁ, ଡଲିରାଣୀ ବ୍ରହ୍ମା, କିଶୋର କୁମାର ସାହୁ, ଭରତ କୁମାର ଶତପଥୀ, କିଶୋରୀ ମୋହନ କର, କବିତା ପତି, ରବୀନ୍ଦ୍ର ନାଥ ମହାନ୍ତି, ଶ୍ୱେତ କୁମାର ବେହେରା, ପ୍ରକାଶ ଚନ୍ଦ୍ର ସେଠୀ, ହୃଷୀକେଶ ସାହୁ, କଳ୍ପନା ନନ୍ଦ, ରଶ୍ମିବାଳା ରାଉତରାୟ, ମଞ୍ଜୁଳା କୁମାରୀ ରଥ ପ୍ରମୁଖ କଵି ସ୍ୱରଚିତ କବିତା ପାଠ କରିଥିଲେ। ପ୍ରଥମ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟାୟରେ କବି ଉପେନ୍ଦ୍ର ବସ୍ତିଆ ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ୍ ଅର୍ପଣ କରିଥିବା ବେଳେ ଦ୍ୱିତୀୟ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟାୟରେ କଵି ପ୍ରକାଶ ଚନ୍ଦ୍ର ସେଠୀ ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ ଅର୍ପଣ କରିଥିଲେ।

Nuapada, August 10: An awareness camp for migrant workers along with a series of public welfare activities was organised at Talakot village under Ghatmal Gram Panchayat in Sinapali block of Nuapada district on Sunday, with District Collector Madhusudan Dash emphasising the need to create sustainable livelihood opportunities within the local area. The programme was attended by Chief Development Officer, Zilla Parishad Lambodar Dharua, Chief District Medical and Public Health Officer Dr Dwarikanath Satapathy, Sinapali BDO Karmi Oram, Tahasildar Upanjali Majhi and Sarpanch Tekram Majhi, besides district- and block-level officials from various departments. During the camp, officials sensitised migrant workers, farmers, women and other villagers about various people-oriented government schemes and the benefits available under them. Discussions also focused on the challenges faced by migrant workers while working outside the state and the livelihood opportunities that can be explored locally. Collector Calls for Local Employment Opportunities Addressing the gathering, Collector Madhusudan Dash urged migrant workers to explore employment and livelihood opportunities available through government programmes rather than being compelled to migrate to other states and work under difficult conditions. He highlighted the potential of the VBG-RAM-G programme, stating that rural families could utilise available opportunities to earn an income within their own villages, strengthen their livelihoods and move towards greater self-reliance. The Collector also urged parents to ensure that their children attend school regularly and receive quality education. He said that better education and skill development among children could help address several social and economic challenges faced by families in the long run. He further called upon villagers to ensure effective implementation of government schemes at the panchayat level and sought their cooperation in making the village free from single-use plastic. ‘A Tree for the Girl Child’ Initiative The programme began with initiatives such as ‘A Tree for the Girl Child’ and ‘A Day for the Unborn Child’. Collector Dash held newborn girl Tripti Mayee Majhi in his arms and wished her a bright future. He presented gifts and a sapling to the child’s parents as a symbolic gesture promoting the value of the girl child and environmental conservation. Pregnant women were also provided with fruits, vegetables, nutritious food items and gifts as part of the maternal and child welfare initiative. Praise for Eco-Friendly SHG Products The Collector appreciated the efforts of Self-Help Groups for preparing plates and bowls from locally collected forest leaves. He said such eco-friendly initiatives could help reduce dependence on single-use plastic and contribute towards environmental protection and ecological balance. For their notable contribution to cleanliness and environmental protection, Maniram Jagat and Pankaj Hans were felicitated with the ‘Swachhata Doot Samman’. The programme concluded with ‘A Day for Birds’, aimed at creating awareness among villagers about bird protection, biodiversity conservation and the importance of preserving the natural ecosystem. The multifaceted programme brought together livelihood promotion, migrant worker awareness, education, women and child welfare, sanitation and environmental conservation, reinforcing the administration’s focus on inclusive development at the grassroots level.

Sinapali, August 10: A joint public grievance hearing conducted by the District Collector and Superintendent of Police was held at the Sinapali Block Conference Hall on Sunday, providing an opportunity for local residents to place their concerns before the district administration. District Collector Madhusudan Dash and Superintendent of Police Amritpal Singh heard various grievances from members of the public and stressed the need for prompt action and timely resolution of genuine complaints. A total of 80 grievances were registered during the hearing, including 67 individual petitions and 13 collective complaints. The Collector directed the concerned departmental officials to take necessary steps for early disposal of the grievances and ensure that the issues raised by the public are addressed within the stipulated time. As part of the welfare measures, financial assistance amounting to ₹35,000 was provided from the Red Cross Fund. Cheques of ₹10,000 each were handed over to Dhaja Ram Nial, Narottam Meher and Bijay Dalpati, while Sasmita Rout received financial assistance of ₹5,000. The grievance hearing was attended by Chief Development Officer Lambodar Dharua, Sub-Collector Surmi Soren, Chief District Medical and Public Health Officer Dr. Dwarikanath Satapathy, Divisional Forest Officer Aziz Khan, Sinapali BDO Karmi Oram and Tahasildar Upanjali Majhi, besides officials from various line departments. Deputy Collector Sheikh Nasim assisted in coordinating the programme. On the occasion, a block-level awareness programme for migrant workers was organised at Talakot village under Ghatmal Gram Panchayat. Workers were sensitised about safety measures during migration, registration procedures and various government welfare schemes and support available to migrant workers. Meanwhile, the District Animal Resources Development Department organised a special veterinary health camp at Talakot, where treatment and necessary veterinary advice were provided to livestock and domestic animals. The grievance hearing and outreach activities witnessed the participation of a large number of local residents, district- and block-level officials and media representatives. The administration’s initiative was seen as an important step towards taking governance closer to the people and ensuring timely redressal of public grievances.

Sinapali: Residents of Malpada village under Gorla Gram Panchayat in Sinapali block of Nuapada district have approached the District Collector, raising concerns over the presence of a liquor outlet in front of the village government primary school and the shortage of teachers. According to the villagers, a liquor outlet operating directly opposite the Malpada Government Primary School is having an adverse impact on the school environment and may negatively influence the young students. They have therefore urged the district administration to take immediate steps to remove the liquor outlet from the vicinity of the school. The villagers have also highlighted the acute shortage of teaching staff at the institution. More than 200 students are reportedly studying at the school, which provides education up to Class VIII, while only four teachers are currently available to manage the academic responsibilities. Residents alleged that the shortage of teachers in proportion to the student strength is adversely affecting the teaching-learning process. They expressed concern that students are being deprived of adequate academic attention due to the limited number of teachers. The villagers have appealed to the District Collector to ensure the removal of the liquor outlet from in front of the school and sanction the appointment of adequate teaching staff at the earliest. They said prompt action on both issues would help create a safer and more conducive educational environment for the children and improve the quality of education in the village.

Sinapali, August 10: A vital road connecting Hatiabandha with Chacharabhatta and Kokadamunda under Hatiabandha Gram Panchayat in Sinapali block of Nuapada district has been lying in a deplorable condition for a long time, causing severe inconvenience to thousands of commuters. The approximately 3-km-long road has developed numerous potholes and muddy stretches, making regular transportation extremely difficult, particularly during the monsoon. The deteriorating condition of the road has affected the movement of two-wheelers, four-wheelers and other vehicles, leaving local residents struggling to commute safely. People from Hatiabandha, Chacharabhatta, Bharuamunda, Nuapada Gram Panchayat and several surrounding villages depend on this road for their daily transportation. Hatiabandha serves as an important destination for residents, as they depend on the area for access to the health sub-centre, college and essential daily commodities. The road is also considered the most convenient route for people travelling from the Kokadamunda side towards Hatiabandha. However, due to its poor condition, commuters are often forced to take an alternative route, travelling an additional 6 to 7 kilometres. This not only consumes valuable time but also increases transportation expenses for the villagers. Local residents said that the road, if repaired, could significantly improve connectivity between the four Gram Panchayats and provide much-needed relief to people travelling for healthcare, education, business and other essential purposes. Residents have urged the concerned department and district administration to inspect the road at the earliest and initiate necessary repair and restoration work without further delay. They expressed hope that timely intervention would restore smooth connectivity and ease the long-standing transportation problems faced by people in the area.

Khariar, Aug 10: The 17th Raja Anup Singh Deo Memorial Football Tournament 2026-27 witnessed an exciting contest on its third day at the historic Raja Artatrana Sports Ground in Khariar, where Jamkhunta registered a convincing 2-0 victory over Mandal to book their place in the semi-finals. The match between Jamkhunta of Balangir district and Mandal was marked by intense competition and attacking football. Jamkhunta maintained pressure throughout the game and found the back of the net twice, while Mandal failed to convert its opportunities. At the final whistle, Jamkhunta emerged victorious by a 2-0 margin. With this win, Jamkhunta have secured their berth in the second semi-final scheduled to be played on August 13. President of the local Bus Owners’ Association Sushant Tandi attended the match as the chief guest. Senior advocate Biswajit Padhi, President of the Tent and Light Association Jyotilal Banjare, Vice-President Jaysingh Ketaki and Rajib Verma were present as distinguished guests.
