ରାଜ୍ୟର ପୂର୍ବତନ ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ପ୍ରଣବ ପ୍ରକାଶ ଦାସ (ବବି)ଙ୍କ ୫୪ତମ ଜନ୍ମଦିନ ଅବସରରେ ପାଣିକୋଇଲିସ୍ଥିତ ସେଶପରିଚୟ ଆଶ୍ରମରେ ସେବାମୂଳକ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ ଆୟୋଜିତ ହୋଇଥିଲା। ବିଜୁ ଜନତା ଦଳର ବରିଷ୍ଠ କର୍ମକର୍ତ୍ତାମାନେ ତାଙ୍କର ସୁସ୍ଥ ଓ ଦୀର୍ଘାୟୁ କାମନା କରି ଆଶ୍ରମର ଅନ୍ତେବାସୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ବସ୍ତ୍ର ଓ ଖାଦ୍ୟ ସାମଗ୍ରୀ ବଣ୍ଟନ କରିଥିଲେ। ଏହି ଅବସରରେ ବରିଷ୍ଠ ସାମ୍ବାଦିକ ସୁବାସ ଧଳ, ବେଣୁଧର ଖଣ୍ଡେଇଙ୍କ ସମେତ କୃଷ୍ଣଚନ୍ଦ୍ର ବିଶ୍ୱାଳ, ଗଙ୍ଗା ଜେନା, ବିଜୟ କୁମାର ପଣ୍ଡା, ଗୟା ଜେନା, ଉଦିଆ ମଲ୍ଲିକ, ପାପି ସେଠୀ, ଧାମ ଶାସୁ, ବିଜୟ ଧଳ, ସୁଧାଂଶୁ ଘଡେଇ, କରୁଣାକର ମାଝୀ, ସୁଶାନ୍ତ ବେହେରା, କାଳିଆ ଧଳ, ଓକିଲ ବାରିକ, ନିରଞ୍ଜନ ପଣ୍ଡା ଓ କୈଳାସ ମଲ୍ଲିକ ପ୍ରମୁଖ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ରହି ପ୍ରଣବ ପ୍ରକାଶ ଦାସଙ୍କୁ ଜନ୍ମଦିନର ଶୁଭେଚ୍ଛା ଜଣାଇଥିଲେ। ସେବା ଓ ସାମାଜିକ ଦାୟିତ୍ୱବୋଧର ବାର୍ତ୍ତା ଦେଇ ଆୟୋଜିତ ଏହି କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ ସ୍ଥାନୀୟ ଅଞ୍ଚଳରେ ପ୍ରଶଂସା ସାଉଁଟିଛି।

ଭଦ୍ରକ ଜିଲ୍ଲାର ଧୁଷୁରୀ ଥାନା ଅଧୀନ ଓଳଗ ଷାଠିବାଙ୍କୁଡା ଗାଁରେ ହାପି ମହାକୁଡ଼ଙ୍କ ସନ୍ଦେହଜନକ ମୃତ୍ୟୁକୁ ନେଇ ଚାଞ୍ଚଲ୍ୟ ଖେଳିଯାଇଛି। ପ୍ରେମ ସମ୍ପର୍କକୁ କେନ୍ଦ୍ର କରି ହତ୍ୟା ହୋଇଥିବା ସନ୍ଦେହ କରାଯାଉଥିବାବେଳେ, ପୋଲିସ ଘଟଣାର ସମସ୍ତ ଦିଗକୁ ନେଇ ତଦନ୍ତ ଜୋରଦାର କରିଛି। ଘଟଣାସ୍ଥଳରେ ଭଦ୍ରକ ଏସପି ମନୋଜ ରାଉତ ପହଞ୍ଚି ତଦନ୍ତର ଅଗ୍ରଗତି ସମୀକ୍ଷା କରିଛନ୍ତି। ବୈଜ୍ଞାନିକ ପ୍ରମାଣ ସଂଗ୍ରହ ସହ ପୋଲିସ ବିଭିନ୍ନ ତଥ୍ୟକୁ ଯାଞ୍ଚ କରୁଛି। ଏପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ୫ ଜଣଙ୍କୁ ଅଟକ ରଖି ପଚରାଉଚରା କରାଯାଉଛି,ଥିବାବେଳେ। ତଦନ୍ତ ଶେଷ ହେବା ପରେ ଘଟଣାର ପ୍ରକୃତ କାରଣ ସ୍ପଷ୍ଟ ହେବ। ତେଣୁ ପ୍ରେମ ଜନିତ ହତ୍ୟା ବୋଲି ଚର୍ଚ୍ଚା ହେଉଥିଲେ ମଧ୍ୟ, ଏନେଇ ଏପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ କୌଣସି ସରକାରୀ ପୁଷ୍ଟ ହୋଇନାହିଁ।

ଅନୁଗୋଳ: ମୁନିସିପାଲିଟି ଟାଉନ୍ ହଲ୍‌ଠାରେ ଅନୁଗୋଳ ଜିଲ୍ଲା ତାଇକୋଣ୍ଡ ଡେଭେଲପମେଣ୍ଟ ଆସୋସିଏସନ ପକ୍ଷରୁ ଆୟୋଜିତ ୧୨ତମ ଅନୁଗୋଳ ଜିଲ୍ଲା ତାଇକୋଣ୍ଡ ଚମ୍ପିଆନ୍‌ସିପ୍–୨୦୨୬ ରବିବାର ଉଦ୍ଘାଟିତ ହୋଇଛି। ଏହି ଅବସରରେ ମୁଖ୍ୟ ଅତିଥି ଭାବେ ବିଧାୟକ ପ୍ରତାପ ଚନ୍ଦ୍ର ପ୍ରଧାନ ଯୋଗଦେଇ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମର ଶୁଭ ଉଦ୍ଘାଟନ କରିଥିଲେ। ଏହି ଅବସରରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ଖେଳାଳିମାନଙ୍କୁ ନିଷ୍ଠା, ଶୃଙ୍ଖଳା ଓ କ୍ରୀଡ଼ା ମନୋଭାବ ସହ ପ୍ରତିଯୋଗିତାରେ ଅଂଶଗ୍ରହଣ କରିବାକୁ ଆହ୍ୱାନ କରାଯିବା ସହ ଆୟୋଜକମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରୟାସକୁ ପ୍ରଶଂସା କରାଯାଇଥିଲା। ପ୍ରତିଯୋଗୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ସାହିତ କରି ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଉଜ୍ଜ୍ୱଳ ଭବିଷ୍ୟତ କାମନା କରାଯାଇଥିଲା। କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମରେ ଆସୋସିଏସନର ସଭାପତି ଶ୍ରୀ ମନୋଜ ପ୍ରଧାନ, ଉପସଭାପତି ଶ୍ରୀ ପ୍ରତାପ ମାଝୀ, ସମ୍ପାଦକ ଶ୍ରୀ ପ୍ରଦୀପ ପ୍ରଧାନ, କୋଷାଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷ ଶ୍ରୀ ତପନ ଦାସଙ୍କ ସମେତ ଆସୋସିଏସନର କର୍ମକର୍ତ୍ତା, ପ୍ରଶିକ୍ଷକ, ପ୍ରତିଯୋଗୀ ଓ ବହୁ କ୍ରୀଡ଼ାପ୍ରେମୀ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ଥିଲେ।

ଅନୁଗୋଳ: କୁମୁରିସିଂହା ଗ୍ରାମ ପଞ୍ଚାୟତର କାବୁଲିପାଳ ଠାରେ ମୋଟ ୧୧.୦୪ କୋଟି ଟଙ୍କା ବ୍ୟୟ ଅଟକଳରେ ଦୁଇଟି ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ସଡ଼କ ପ୍ରକଳ୍ପର ଶିଳାନ୍ୟାସ ଅନୁଷ୍ଠିତ ହୋଇଛି। ଏହି ଅବସରରେ ୭.୨୦ କୋଟି ଟଙ୍କା ବ୍ୟୟରେ କୁମୁରିସିଂହା–ଚମ୍ପତିମୁଣ୍ଡା ଭାୟା କାବୁଲିପାଳ–ବଲ୍ଳଭପୁର ସଡ଼କ ଏବଂ ୩.୮୪ କୋଟି ଟଙ୍କା ବ୍ୟୟରେ ରାମବେରଣୀ–ପାତେଳୀ ଭାୟା ଗଡତଇଳା ସଡ଼କର ଶିଳାନ୍ୟାସ କରାଯାଇଥିଲା। ଉକ୍ତ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମରେ ଢେଙ୍କାନାଳ ଲୋକସଭାର ମାନ୍ୟବର ସାଂସଦ ଶ୍ରୀ ରୁଦ୍ର ନାରାୟଣ ପାଣି ଏବଂ ଅନୁଗୋଳ ମାନ୍ୟବର ବିଧାୟକ ଶ୍ରୀ ପ୍ରତାପ ଚନ୍ଦ୍ର ପ୍ରଧାନ ଯୋଗଦେଇ ଉଭୟ ପ୍ରକଳ୍ପର ଶିଳାନ୍ୟାସ କରିଥିଲେ। ଏହି ଅବସରରେ ଦଳର ବହୁ ନେତୃବୃନ୍ଦ, ସ୍ଥାନୀୟ ଜନପ୍ରତିନିଧି ଓ ବହୁ ସଂଖ୍ୟକ ଗ୍ରାମବାସୀ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ରହିଥିଲେ। ଏହି ଦୁଇଟି ସଡ଼କ ପ୍ରକଳ୍ପ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକାରୀ ହେଲେ ଅଞ୍ଚଳର ଯାତାୟାତ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥାରେ ସୁଧାର ଆସିବା ସହ ଗ୍ରାମାଞ୍ଚଳର ବିକାଶକୁ ଅଧିକ ଗତି ମିଳିବ ବୋଲି ସ୍ଥାନୀୟ ଲୋକମାନେ ଆଶା ପ୍ରକାଶ କରିଛନ୍ତି।

ନୂଆଦିଲ୍ଲୀ/ନାନ୍ଦେଡ଼: ଆଜିର ‘ମନ କି ବାତ’ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମରେ ପ୍ରଧାନମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଏକ ହୃଦୟସ୍ପର୍ଶୀ ଉଦାହରଣ ସେୟାର କରିଛନ୍ତି, ଯାହା ସମାଜ ପାଇଁ ଏକ ନୂତନ ପଥ ପ୍ରଦର୍ଶନ କରୁଛି। ମହାରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରର ନାନ୍ଦେଡ଼ ଜିଲ୍ଲାର ବାହାଦୁରପୁରା ଗାଁର ପେଠକର ପରିବାର ନିଜ ଘରର ବିବାହ ଅବସରକୁ ଏକ ସାମାଜିକ ଉତ୍ସବରେ ପରିଣତ କରିଛନ୍ତି। ପ୍ରଧାନମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ କହିଥିଲେ, ସାଧାରଣତଃ ବିବାହ ଓ ଜନ୍ମଦିନ ଭଳି ଅବସରରେ ଲୋକେ ଉପହାର ବାଣ୍ଟନ୍ତି, କିନ୍ତୁ ଏହି ପରିବାର ଏକ ଅଲଗା ଓ ସମାଜମୂଖୀ ପଦକ୍ଷେପ ନେଇଛନ୍ତି। ପେଠକର ପରିବାର ଗାଁର ପ୍ରାୟ ୩,୫୦୦ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଦୁର୍ଘଟଣା ବୀମା ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା କରି, ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକଙ୍କୁ ୧ ଲକ୍ଷ ଟଙ୍କାର କଭର ଦେଇଛନ୍ତି। ଏହି ପଦକ୍ଷେପ ପଛରେ ଥିବା ଭାବନାକୁ ଉଲ୍ଲେଖ କରି ପ୍ରଧାନମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ କହିଥିଲେ, “ଖୁସି ବାଣ୍ଟିବାର ଏହି ନୂଆ ଧାରା ସତ୍ୟରେ ପ୍ରେରଣାଦାୟକ। ଏହା କେବଳ ଉତ୍ସବ ନୁହେଁ, ଏକ ସମାଜିକ ଦାୟିତ୍ୱର ଉଦାହରଣ।” ପରିବାର ଲୋକେ କହିଛନ୍ତି ଯେ, ସେମାନେ ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଦେଖିଥିଲେ ଯେ ଦୁର୍ଘଟଣା ପରେ ଅନେକ ପରିବାର ଆର୍ଥିକ ସମସ୍ୟାରେ ପଡନ୍ତି। ଏହିଥିପାଇଁ ସେମାନେ ଭାବିଥିଲେ ଯେ ଏଭଳି ଏକ ଉପହାର ଦିଆଯାଉ, ଯାହା ଆପତ୍କାଳୀନ ସମୟରେ ସାହାଯ୍ୟ କରିପାରିବ। ଏହି ଅଭିନବ ପଦକ୍ଷେପକୁ ନେଇ ସ୍ଥାନୀୟ ଅଞ୍ଚଳରେ ଚର୍ଚ୍ଚା ଚାଲିଛି ଓ ଅନେକେ ଏହାକୁ ଅନୁସରଣ କରିବାକୁ ଆଗ୍ରହ ପ୍ରକାଶ କରୁଛନ୍ତି। ‘ମନ କି ବାତ’ ମାଧ୍ୟମରେ ଏହି କାହାଣୀ ପ୍ରସାରିତ ହେବା ପରେ ଏହା ଦେଶବ୍ୟାପୀ ଚର୍ଚ୍ଚାର ବିଷୟ ହୋଇଯାଇଛି।

Nuapada, June 28 In a major success against narcotics trafficking, Nuapada Police has seized 21.856 kg of contraband ganja and arrested one accused near Punjabipada Chowk under Khariar Road. According to police sources, at around 1:10 PM on June 27, a team from Jonk Police Station was on routine day patrol when they received reliable information about the illegal transportation of ganja near Punjabipada Chowk. Acting swiftly on the tip-off, the police intercepted a suspicious individual and conducted a search. During the search, the police recovered 21 kg 856 grams of ganja from the possession of the accused. The police also seized one mobile phone and ₹150 in cash from him. The arrested accused has been identified as Thakur Prasad Harpal (36), son of Jamar Harpal, a resident of Bharuapali village under Belpada Police Station in Balangir district. A case has been registered at Jonk Police Station vide Case No. 231 dated June 27, 2026, under Section 20(b)(ii)(C) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985. The investigation is being carried out by Sub-Inspector J.R. Senapati of Jonk Police Station. Police are probing the source and intended destination of the seized contraband and are also trying to identify other persons involved in the drug trafficking network. Nuapada Police stated that it remains committed to taking strict action against the illegal trade and consumption of narcotic drugs and will continue its intensive crackdown on such activities across the district.

One such cherished tradition is gathering under a jamun tree during the monsoon, plucking the ripe purple fruits with friends, and reliving moments of pure happiness. Years ago, the arrival of the jamun season would fill village lanes with laughter. Children and youngsters would rush to nearby trees, some throwing ropes over the branches to shake the tree while others spread mosquito nets or cloth underneath to collect the fruits without damaging them. Thousands of Paddy Bags Soaked in Heavy Rain at Karlakote Mandi; Farmers Fear Huge Losses Boden, June 28 Despite repeated warnings from farmers and media reports highlighting the poor condition of Karlakote Paddy Procurement Centre (Mandi), the administration allegedly failed to take timely action. As a result, thousands of paddy bags stored at the mandi under Boden block in Nuapada district were soaked in Saturday’s heavy rainfall, leaving farmers worried about severe financial losses. On June 26, several newspapers had reported the disorder at Karlakote Mandi, drawing attention to the delay in lifting procured paddy, shortage of transport vehicles, and the large number of paddy bags lying in the open without adequate protection. However, according to farmers, no effective measures were taken by the concerned authorities despite these warnings. Saturday’s heavy rain turned those concerns into reality. A large quantity of paddy remained stacked inside the mandi premises due to the lack of timely transportation and insufficient storage facilities. Since there was inadequate warehouse space, hundreds of paddy bags had been left exposed under the open sky. The heavy downpour drenched the stocks, raising fears that the quality of the grain may deteriorate significantly. Farmers said they had repeatedly urged the authorities to arrange transport vehicles and expedite the lifting process, but their appeals went unanswered. They now fear that any deterioration in grain quality could lead to deductions during procurement, causing them substantial financial losses. Many distressed farmers were seen expressing deep concern over the fate of the produce they had cultivated through months of hard work. The incident has once again raised serious questions over the efficiency of the paddy procurement system, particularly at a time when farmer-related issues in the district have already drawn public attention. Farmers have demanded immediate transportation of the remaining paddy, a proper assessment of the rain-damaged stock, adequate compensation for losses, and permanent measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
