Sinapali: In view of the upcoming three-tier Panchayat elections, verification of the Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF) available at various polling stations across Nuapada district was carried out as part of the election preparedness process.
The Additional CDO-cum-EO visited different polling booths and reviewed the availability and condition of essential facilities required for voters. During the inspection, facilities such as drinking water, toilets, electricity and lighting arrangements, along with other basic amenities, were reviewed.
Special attention was also given to ensuring that elderly voters, persons with disabilities and other voters requiring assistance can access the polling stations conveniently and cast their votes without difficulty.
The officials also assessed the overall preparedness of the polling booths and identified any gaps in basic facilities. Necessary measures are being emphasized to address such shortcomings before the elections so that voters can have a smooth and convenient experience at the polling stations.
BDO Karmi Oram, along with other concerned officials and staff, extended cooperation during the inspection and election preparedness activities.
The AMF verification is aimed at ensuring that adequate basic facilities are available at polling stations and that voters are provided with a safe, accessible and convenient environment during the election.
