Sinapali Adarsha Yubak Sangha Calls for Better Roads, Tourist Facilities and Safety Measures at Sunabeda-Chauladhua
Sinapali/Komna: A cleanliness awareness and exploration programme was organised by the Sinapali Adarsha Yubak Sangha and Virus Gang at Sunabeda and Chauladhua Waterfalls under Komna block. Along with exploring the scenic beauty of the area, the members also visited the revered Maa Sunadei Temple and interacted with visitors regarding the need to preserve the cleanliness and natural beauty of the tourist destinations. During the programme, the members appealed to tourists and visitors not to throw plastic, food waste and other garbage indiscriminately in and around the waterfall area. They stressed that maintaining cleanliness is essential for protecting the natural environment and ensuring that the area remains attractive and safe for visitors. The members also paid obeisance to Maa Sunadei. The shrine enjoys deep faith and devotion among the people, with hundreds of devotees visiting the temple every day. Despite heavy rainfall, a large number of devotees continue to visit the shrine, reflecting its strong religious significance among the people. Chauladhua Waterfall has recently been attracting considerable attention among tourists and nature lovers and is increasingly becoming a popular destination. Taking note of its growing popularity, the youth group visited the site to explore its tourism potential and assess the problems faced by visitors. The group has urged the administration to take immediate steps for the overall development of the waterfall and surrounding areas. Their demands include construction of a proper approach road to the waterfall, promotion and publicity of Chauladhua as a tourist destination, development of basic tourism infrastructure and provision of adequate facilities for visitors coming from distant places. The group also stressed the need for proper accommodation facilities for tourists as well as devotees visiting Maa Sunadei Temple. They called for improvement of the temple premises, development of a suitable parikrama pathway, better road connectivity to the temple and necessary infrastructure for the convenience of devotees. Besides tourism and religious infrastructure, the members demanded effective measures for the protection of wildlife and the surrounding natural environment. They also sought deployment of police personnel in the waterfall area to ensure the safety and security of tourists and visitors, particularly during periods of heavy tourist inflow. The youth group expressed hope that coordinated efforts by the administration and concerned departments would help transform Chauladhua and the Maa Sunadei shrine into well-developed tourism and pilgrimage destinations. Such development, they said, could also provide a boost to the local economy and create new opportunities for the surrounding communities. Those present during the programme included Bablu Meher, Akhil Meher, Naru Meher, Rinku Meher, Pinku Meher, Malaya Meher, Dialu Naik, Bhawani Meher, Pramod Meher, Pustam Meher, Kanhā Meher, Jitendra Meher, Yuge Meher and Pintu Meher, along with other members of the organisation.
