Children’s Park Turns Into a Jungle; Neglect Leaves Bhuaruamunda Park in a State of Disrepair

Sinapali, August 21: The rural children’s park at Bhuaruamunda village under Sinapali Block in Nuapada district is now lying in a state of neglect. Located in front of the Gram Panchayat office, the park has gradually lost its charm and has turned almost into a jungle due to the lack of regular maintenance. The park was developed to provide children with a safe and enjoyable place for playing and recreation. However, the absence of regular cleaning has allowed weeds, wild grass and unwanted plants to grow extensively across the premises. As a result, children are finding it difficult to enter the park, let alone use it for playing. According to local residents, the park is an important recreational space for children in the village. If properly maintained, it could also serve as a pleasant place for adults to spend time during the morning and evening. However, due to prolonged neglect, the condition of the park has been deteriorating day by day. Residents have urged the authorities to immediately clear the overgrown vegetation and garbage, inspect the play equipment and carry out necessary repairs. They have also demanded a system for regular cleaning and maintenance of the park. As the neglected children’s park is located right in front of the Gram Panchayat office, locals have expressed concern over the lack of attention to its condition. They have appealed to the concerned department and Gram Panchayat to take immediate steps to clean, beautify and restore the park so that children and residents can once again make proper use of the facility.
