Two Drivers Seriously Injured in Head-On Collision Near Haripur

Komna, Nuapada: A serious road accident took place on Tuesday near Haripur under Komna block of Nuapada district, on National Highway-353. A Swift Dzire car and a Tata Ace (“Chhota Hathi”) collided head-on, leaving both drivers seriously injured. According to information, the Swift Dzire reportedly belongs to a medicine shop owner from Khariar. The Tata Ace, on the other hand, is said to be from the Kantabanji area. The impact of the collision left the Tata Ace driver with a fractured leg. He was rescued and immediately shifted to the Komna Community Health Centre for treatment. The driver of the Swift Dzire also sustained serious injuries and was subsequently taken to Mission Hospital in Khariar for medical treatment. Following the accident, Komna Police reached the spot and inspected both vehicles. Police have initiated an investigation to ascertain the exact circumstances that led to the head-on collision. The precise cause of the accident is yet to be established, and further investigation by the police is underway.
