A birthday is generally considered a special day filled with happiness and excitement. While many people celebrate their birthdays by cutting cakes, distributing sweets, travelling to different places, or visiting tourist destinations, some individuals choose to celebrate their special day in a unique and meaningful way by bringing smiles to the faces of others.
Setting an inspiring example of humanity and social responsibility, Nilakanta Naik, the younger son of Ghana Naik and Kusum Naik of Bhuktamunda village under Dhamanpur Gram Panchayat of Golamunda Block in Kalahandi district, celebrated his birthday in a special manner.
On his birthday, Nilakanta visited Yashoda Orphanage near Dharmagarh and celebrated the occasion with the inmates of the orphanage. Instead of a traditional celebration, he spent valuable time with the children and arranged breakfast and food offerings for them.
Sharing his happiness, Nilakanta said that celebrating his birthday at the orphanage gave him immense satisfaction and a memorable experience. He expressed that spending time with the inmates and sharing happiness with them made his special day more meaningful.
The noble initiative of Nilakanta was supported and appreciated by young social worker Tushar Rana of Mirzapur village along with Ramesh Nag, Chandan Nag, Binod Naik, Mithun Naik and Pitam Naik, who joined the celebration and encouraged his humanitarian effort.
The unique birthday celebration created an atmosphere of joy and happiness among the orphanage management, staff members and inmates. Nilakanta’s gesture has been appreciated by many as an inspiring example of compassion, kindness and social commitment.
