Another Accused Arrested in Major Interstate Gambling Racket Along Odisha–Jharkhand Border

Bureau Report, Rourkela Rourkela, June 25: Raurkela Police has arrested another accused in connection with a major interstate illegal gambling racket operating along the Odisha-Jharkhand border. The arrest was made on 24 June 2026 during the ongoing investigation of Sector-15 PS Case No. 93/2026. Earlier, police had seized a large quantity of cash, gold and silver ornaments, 3 cars, 4 two-wheelers, mobile phones, 68 dice, bamboo gambling baskets, and a cash-counting machine during raids conducted in the case. During the latest operation, police seized two mobile phones and ₹1.5 lakh in cash from the arrested person. The accused has been forwarded to court. Investigation is continuing and efforts are underway to trace and apprehend other persons involved in the racket.
