Monthly Review Meeting of Animal Resources Department Held in Nuapada; Progress of Various Schemes Reviewed

A monthly review meeting of the Animal Resources Development Department was held today at the District Headquarters Conference Hall under the chairmanship of Collector and District Magistrate Madhusudan Das.
During the meeting, Chief District Veterinary Officer Dr. Sukhendu Ray presented a detailed report on the implementation of various departmental schemes, veterinary healthcare services, facilities available to livestock farmers, and the overall progress of departmental programmes across the district.
The review revealed that under the extended grievance redressal programme, 60 animal health camps have been organized across the district so far. Through these camps, 7,482 animals have received veterinary treatment, benefiting 2,331 livestock farmers.
On the occasion, several farmers who achieved notable success in the livestock sector were felicitated for their contributions. Those honoured included Prahallad Banchhor of Khariar for broiler farming, Sushila Banchhor of Komna for cattle rearing, Kheerdas Satnami for broiler farming, Asamati Chhatria of Boden for cattle rearing, and Golapi Sanku of Sinapali for her achievements in livestock farming.
The meeting was attended by veterinary officers from all blocks, veterinary doctors, livestock farmers, and other departmental officials.
Collector Madhusudan Das emphasized the need for effective implementation of livestock development schemes, strengthening veterinary healthcare services, and ensuring that government benefits reach farmers in a timely manner.
The meeting concluded with discussions on enhancing animal healthcare infrastructure and promoting sustainable livestock development across the district.
