Ayushman Card Not Honoured at Hi-Tech Hospital, Patient's Family Alleges Harassment
Rourkela: Serious allegations have surfaced against Hi-Tech Hospital, Rourkela, regarding the non-acceptance of an Ayushman Bharat health card for a patient admitted in the hospital.
According to the complaint, Rahul Sah, who is undergoing treatment in Bed No. 3 of the Surgery Ward on the first floor of Hi-Tech Hospital, has allegedly been denied the benefits of his Ayushman Card. The patient's attendants claim that despite being eligible under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, they were asked to deposit ₹10,100 initially and have now been directed to pay ₹4,400.
The family has alleged that the patient is being subjected to unnecessary financial burden and harassment despite the existence of a government-sponsored health insurance facility intended to provide cashless treatment to eligible beneficiaries.
The matter has raised concerns regarding the implementation of the Ayushman Bharat scheme in private healthcare institutions. The patient's family has appealed to the concerned authorities to intervene immediately and ensure that the benefits of the scheme are extended without further delay.
Further investigation and clarification from the hospital administration are awaited.
